GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Choice BiFendoff 100 Insecticide Overview: Choice BiFendoff 100 Insecticide is a versatile contact and residual insecticide/miticide. It can be employed as a protective treatment at regular intervals or as a knockdown treatment for existing pests. Optimal results are achieved when applied preventatively, before pest populations reach damaging levels.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Note: This product is not suitable for use in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs where mite or other insect predators or parasites are established and providing effective mite and other insect control.

APPLICATION:

Dilute Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for high volumes of water up to the point of run-off.
  • Achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy.
  • Apply water to cover the crop to the point of run-off, avoiding excessive run-off.
  • Determine the required water volume based on industry guidelines or expert advice.
  • Add the specified amount of product for each 100L of water. Spray to the point of run-off.
  • Adjust dilute spray volume and sprayer setup as the crop grows.

Concentrate Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed and set up for concentrate spraying.
  • Achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy using the chosen water volume.
  • Determine appropriate dilute spray for crop canopy to calculate concentrate mixing rate.
  • Calculate concentrate rate based on the concentration factor.
    • Example: If dilute rate is 50mL/100L, concentrate rate becomes 2 x 50, i.e., 100mL/100L of concentrate spray.
  • Adjust spray volume, product amount, and sprayer setup as the crop grows.

Ground Application:

  • Apply as a fine spray, preferably using hollow cone nozzles.

  • Use droplet size of 150 to 200 microns.

  • Application volume depends on the crop type.

    • Low volume broadacre application (e.g., cereals, canola): 50-200L/ha.
    • Low volume row crops application (e.g., cotton, tomatoes): 50-200L/ha.
    • High volume application to row crops (e.g., trellised tomatoes): 200-1000L/ha.
    • High volume directed spray (e.g., grapes, bananas, stone fruit): Varying volumes as specified.

Aerial Application:

  • Use at least 20L/ha of total spray volume.
  • Apply during cooler parts of the day or night.
  • Avoid spraying in calm conditions; prefer spraying in a crosswind.
  • Use suitable equipment and/or nozzles for a fine spray with 150 to 200 microns droplet size.
  • Employ a spray drift minimization strategy.

MONITORING:

  • Post-emergency monitoring for Citrus leaf eating weevil populations.
  • Commence monitoring in mid-October at 1 to 2-week intervals.
  • Treatment required if 25 beetles or more are recorded in consecutive counts.

MIXING:

  • Add the required quantity of Choice BiFendoff 100 Insecticide to water in the spray tank.
  • Mix thoroughly and maintain agitation during mixing and application.

COMPATIBILITY: Choice BiFendoff 100 Insecticide is compatible with commonly used fungicides and herbicides, including Dithane M45, Antracol, Chlorothalonil 500, Sprayseed, Broadstrike, Spinnaker, Simazine 900, Dual, Metribuzin, Chlorsulfuron, Triasulfuron, and Pendimethalin.
