GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - Rygel ClearUp Impress 540 Herbicide

PRODUCT INFORMATION: Rygel ClearUp Impress 540 is a non-volatile, non-selective, water-soluble liquid herbicide for controlling annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds in various agricultural and non-agricultural settings. Suitable for weed control in agricultural land before sowing any crop but not prior to transplanting tomato seedlings. Absorbed by plant foliage and green stems, it is immediately inactivated in the soil without providing residual weed control.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING: Belongs to the Glycines group with the inhibition of EPSP synthase mode of action. Classified as a Group M herbicide. Weed resistance management is crucial, and repeated use may lead to resistant weed dominance. Rygel Australia Pty Ltd disclaims liability for losses resulting from failure to control resistant weeds.

CROP ESTABLISHMENT: Recommended for controlling emerged weeds before crop establishment. Suitable cultivation and planting operations are necessary for favorable crop emergence conditions. Delay planting in heavy weed growth or unsuitable soil conditions to allow decay of weeds and create a suitable seedbed.

MIXING: Readily mixes with water. Avoid using water containing suspended clay, organic matter, or high levels of calcium, magnesium, or bicarbonate ions. Do not mix, store, or apply in galvanized or unlined steel containers. Use stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, fiberglass, plastic, or plastic-lined containers.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Fill the spray tank 1/3 to 1/2 full with clean water and start agitation.

  2. If ammonium sulfate is recommended, add Liquid Boost at 2L/100L spray solution and mix.

  3. Add recommended herbicide/insecticide/additive, then add ClearUp Impress 540 and remaining water. Mix thoroughly.

  4. Add surfactant if needed, minimizing foaming.

  5. Maintain adequate agitation during application and use the tank mix promptly.

  6. Clean equipment after use by thorough rinsing with clean water.

TANK MIXTURES: May be tank-mixed with specified herbicides, insecticides, and adjuvants. Follow label directions, restraints, plant-back periods, and withholding periods. Consult local advice for multiple product tank mixes. Proper mixing order and in-tank agitation are crucial.

APPLICATION:

  • Boom Equipment: Recommended spray volume of 80L/ha or less for optimum performance. Nozzles and pressure settings should produce MEDIUM or MEDIUM-COARSE droplets. Avoid VERY FINE or FINE droplets prone to drift.

  • Wiper Equipment: Use a minimum of 10cm above crops, with weeds at least 15cm above crops at the time of application. Speed of travel should not exceed 8km/h.

  • Aerial Equipment: Apply by aircraft only in specified situations. Use a spray volume of at least 20L/ha with settings for a median droplet diameter of 250-350 microns.

AIR TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY: Avoid applying above 30°C by aircraft. Increase water volume above 25°C. Avoid application below 35% relative humidity.

AVOID DRIFT: Do not apply under conditions likely to cause drift onto nearby crops or pastures. Avoid light winds, inversion conditions, or wind speeds exceeding 12km/hr.

APPLICATION CHECKLIST:

  • Avoid treating weeds under poor growing conditions.

  • Do not add surfactants or adjuvants unless specified.

  • Rainfall within 1 hour may require re-treatment.

  • Delay grazing to ensure herbicide uptake.

  • Apply to weeds with adequate leaf surface for herbicide uptake.

  • If heavy grazing occurs, allow regrowth before spraying.

PROTECTION: Avoid contact with foliage, green bark, stems, flowers, or fruit of crops, desirable plants, and trees. Do not apply under conditions causing drift onto nearby susceptible plants.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE AND ENVIRONMENT: Avoid contamination of dams, rivers, or streams. Do not apply to weeds in or over water. Do not spray across open bodies of water.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS: May irritate eyes and skin. Avoid contact; if in eyes, wash immediately with water. Wear protective clothing and wash hands and equipment thoroughly after use.
