General Instructions:

Combik 250 Herbicide effectively targets a wide range of annual grasses, broadleaf weeds, and some perennial grasses when applied directly to their leaves. Here's what you need to know:

  1. Soil Absorption: The active ingredients in Combik 250 Herbicide are quickly and tightly absorbed by clay and silt particles in the soil, leaving no significant residues. This allows for immediate sowing of crops after spraying, without affecting the plants or weed seeds that germinate afterward.

  2. Insect Pest Management: If insect pests are expected, it's recommended to use appropriate insecticide treatments. Regular monitoring before and after sowing is advised to assess pest activity.

  3. Tank Mixing: Combik 250 Herbicide can be mixed with suitable residual herbicides to extend weed control within crops and fallows. Before mixing, carefully review the label recommendations of the residual herbicides and take precautions against using them before planting susceptible crops. Refer to the compatibility statement on the Combik 250 Herbicide label for information on mixing with other herbicides.

Resistant Weeds Warning:

Combik 250 Herbicide belongs to the bipyridyls group of herbicides, acting as an inhibitor of photosynthesis at photosystem 1. It is classified as a Group L herbicide for weed resistance management. Here are some key points:

  • Risk of Resistance: Naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to Combik 250 and other Group L herbicides may develop due to genetic variability within weed populations. These resistant weeds may become dominant if the herbicides are repeatedly used. They will not be effectively controlled by Combik 250 or other Group L herbicides.

  • Liability Disclaimer: Detection of resistant weeds before use is challenging. Therefore, Sinon Australia Ply Limited bears no responsibility for losses resulting from Combik 250 Herbicide's failure to control resistant weeds.

Mixing:

To ensure even mixing, add the recommended rate of Combik 250 Herbicide to water in the spray tank and agitate thoroughly. If left standing, agitate again before application.

Application:

  • Boomspray: Apply using a properly calibrated boomspray with flat fanjets, ensuring double overlap of the spray at the top of the targeted weeds. Maintain spraying pressures between 240 to 280 kPa and travel speeds between 6 to 10 km/hr. Utilize a reliable marking system, ensuring the disc marker, if used, turns soil back onto the sprayed area.
