GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Before opening, carefully read Directions for Use, Precautionary Statements, Safety Directions, and First Aid Instructions.

NOTICE: Helicoverpa (= Heliothis) armigera Resistance in Northern New South Wales and Queensland. To contain pyrethroid resistance in Helicoverpa armigera, adhere to the Summer Crop Insecticide strategy developed by the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and the New South Wales Department of Agriculture and Fisheries.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING Imtrade Cypershield 200 Insecticide is a Group 3A Insecticide. Some insect biotypes resistant to this and other Group 3A Insecticides may exist. Continuous use may lead to resistant individuals dominating the insect population. Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd accepts no liability for losses resulting from the failure of the insecticide to control resistant insects.

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY Imtrade Cypershield 200 Insecticide contains the pyrethroid insecticide, Cypermethrin. Resistance in Helicoverpa spp. has been found. Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd is not responsible for crop loss due to the failure of the insecticide to control resistant strains. Seek alternative treatments if previous ineffectiveness is noted.

TIMING Apply Imtrade Cypershield 200 Insecticide as a protective treatment at regular intervals, with the best results achieved by spraying at egg-hatch.

CROP CHECKING Regularly check plants after spraying to ensure thorough kill, particularly under heavy insect pressure. Maximum kill may take up to 48 hours. Check crops at intervals not exceeding 2 days when insect pressure is high. Apply recommended treatment promptly when needed.

MIXING Mix readily with hard or soft water. Add the required quantity to water under agitation for thorough mixing. Do not let the mixed solution stand for more than 24 hours. Spray immediately in extremely alkaline water (pH 9).

APPLICATION

  • Ground Application: Apply 30-100L/ha for most crops, except 150-450L/ha for Sweetcorn. Follow specific instructions for Tomatoes.
  • Aerial Application: Apply in 10-20L/ha for Cotton and Tomatoes, and 20-30L/ha for other crops. Do not apply if rain is expected within 6 hours.

PROTECTION

  • Dangerous to bees. Do not spray plants in flower while bees are foraging.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT

  • Dangerous to fish. Avoid contamination of streams, rivers, or waterways. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

  • Store in a closed, original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
  • Triple or pressure rinse containers before disposal. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site.
  • Refillable Containers: Empty fully into application equipment. Return to the point of supply for refill or storage.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

  • Poisonous if swallowed. Will irritate eyes and skin. Sensitive workers should wear protective clothing.
  • Facial skin contact may cause temporary facial numbness. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale spray mist.
  • Wear cotton overalls, washable hat, elbow-length PVC gloves, and a face shield or goggles during preparation. Wash exposed areas after use.

After use, wash hands, arms, and face thoroughly. Wash gloves, face shield or goggles, and contaminated clothing after each day's use.
