Dictate ULV - Product Instructions

General Instructions:

Dictate ULV is a contact residual insecticide suitable for use as a protective treatment at regular intervals or as a knockdown treatment to control existing insects or larvae. Optimal results are achieved by spraying at egg hatch.

Application:

Dictate ULV is recommended for aerial application. Thorough coverage is crucial to ensure adequate control. It is advisable to spray in a crosswind, avoiding calm conditions or when the wind is light and variable. Application should be conducted during the cooler parts of the day or night. Add the required quantity directly to the spray tank. Dictate ULV is applied undiluted and is suitable for use with aircraft fitted with rotary atomizers, hydraulic nozzles, or hand-held atomizers designed for this purpose. Ensure water is drained from the aircraft hopper and spray lines before using Dictate ULV.

Protection of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans, and Environment:

Dictate ULV is dangerous to fish. Do not contaminate streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used containers.

Protection of Livestock:

Dangerous to bees. Do not spray on any plants in flower while bees are foraging.

Storage and Disposal:

Non-returnable Containers: Store Dictate ULV in the closed, original container in a well-ventilated area, as cool as possible but not below 4°C. Avoid prolonged storage in direct sunlight. Keep it in a locked room or away from children, animals, food, feedstuffs, seed, and fertilizers. Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal, adding rinsings to the spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. Empty containers should be broken, crushed, punctured, and buried in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose, away from waterways, desirable vegetation, and tree roots. Do not burn empty containers or product.

Minibulk Container: Store the tightly closed minibulk container in a safe and secure place away from children, animals, food, and feedstuffs. Storage must be secure to prevent tampering. Ensure all locks and/or seals are intact. If broken before initial use, contact ChemAg Pty Ltd immediately. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from excessive heat. The minibulk container is reusable and remains the property of ChemAg Pty Ltd. Do not introduce any other liquid, solid, or pesticide product into it. When empty, return to ChemAg Pty Ltd for cleaning, relabeling, and refilling.

Safety Directions:

• Will irritate the eyes and skin.
• Facial skin contact may cause temporary facial numbness.

Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Avoid inhaling vapor or spray mist. When preparing the spray, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist, a washable hat, elbow-length PVC gloves, and a face shield or goggles. If the product comes in contact with eyes, wash immediately with water. After use and before eating, drinking, or smoking, wash hands, arms, and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each day’s use, wash gloves, face shield or goggles, and contaminated clothing.
