GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
ACP Diflufenican / Bromoxynil Selective Herbicide is a post-emergence contact herbicide, effective for up to 4 weeks of residual control of wild radish. Follow these instructions for optimal results:
-
Immediate Application:
- Apply immediately after mixing.
- Do not let it stand in the spray tank overnight.
-
Optimal Conditions for Application:
- Optimum results with good soil moisture.
- Apply when weeds are not stressed.
- Some pre-emergence herbicides like atrazine may cause stress to certain crops, especially lucerne and subterranean clover.
-
Temperature Considerations:
- DO NOT apply if frosts are imminent.
- Frost causes stress on crops and weeds, potentially increasing crop effects and decreasing weed control.
- Apply when weeds and crops are not under stress from frost conditions.
- Avoid application when maximum daily temperatures exceed 20°C, as increased crop damage may result.
CROP TOLERANCE:
-
Cereals:
- Transient crop yellowing may occur, but subsequent growth remains unaffected.
- Avoid application when crops are stressed from pre-emergent herbicide, root disease, insect damage, frost, or extreme moisture conditions.
-
Lucerne:
- Tolerance varies; apply before the 8 trifoliate leaf stage to minimize transient crop yellowing.
- Under normal conditions, subsequent growth and seed yield should not be affected.
- Some varieties may be more sensitive, consult an ACP representative for advice.
-
Subterranean Clover:
- Tolerance varies; apply before the 8 trifoliate leaf stage.
- Under normal conditions, subsequent growth and seed yield should not be affected.
- Some varieties may be more sensitive, consult an ACP representative for advice.
-
Other Clovers:
- Tolerance varies; apply before the 8 trifoliate leaf stage.
- Under normal conditions, subsequent growth and seed yield should not be affected.
- Some varieties, like Big Bee, Sacromonte, Haifa, Zulu, Kyambro, Lupers, and Maral, are more sensitive.
-
Subsequent Crops:
- To reduce the effect on subsequent susceptible crops (e.g., canola), thoroughly cultivate the soil before sowing these crops.
MIXING:
- To ensure even mixing, half-fill the spray tank with clean water.
- Add the required amount of the product and agitate thoroughly during spray operations.
- Reseal part-used containers immediately after use.
