GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Tolerance:

  • Some pre-emergence herbicides, like atrazine, may stress certain crops, leading to increased crop damage. Sub-clover is notably sensitive.

Cereals:

  • After application, transient crop yellowing may occur, appearing as yellow or white banding on leaves. The crop's development and subsequent growth remain unaffected under normal conditions.

Warning (Oats):

  • Tolerance of varieties Esk and Nile to NovaGuard Diflufenican M Selective Herbicide is untested. Test a small area before extensive use. Seek advice from your local NovaGuard Pty Ltd representative for specific varieties.

Pasture:

  • Tolerance of clover varieties varies with application rate, soil type, crop health, growth stage, and moisture and temperature stress.

Warning:

  • NovaGuard Diflufenican M Selective Herbicide may cause transient crop yellowing and growth suppression, particularly at rates exceeding 500 mL/ha or in areas of double spray. Apply before the 8th trifoliate leaf stage for optimal results.

  • Specific varieties have shown acceptable foliage tolerance to NovaGuard Diflufenican M Selective Herbicide at 500 mL/ha.

    • ArrowLeaf: Zulu
    • Balansa: Paradana
    • Berseem: Sacromonte
    • Persian: Kyambro, Lupers, Maral
    • White: Haifa
    • Subterranean Clover: Daliak, Dalkeith, Denmark, Esperance, Geraldton, Goulburn, Karridale, Larissa, Leura, Mt. Barker, Nungarin, Rosedale, Seaton Park, Trikkala, Woogenellup
  • Effects on clover seed yield have been tested on specific varieties, showing tolerance at 500 mL/ha. Varieties like Esperance, Goulburn, Larissa, Seaton Park, and Trikkala are mentioned.

Warning:

  • Rose and Strawberry clover are more sensitive. NovaGuard Diflufenican M Selective Herbicide may affect the seed yield of subterranean variety Woogenellup. Some pasture grasses, including Phalaris and Cocksfoot, may initially show reduced vegetative growth after Panther application. Test unspecified varieties before extensive use. Consult with a local NovaGuard Pty Ltd representative for advice.

Subsequent Crops:

  • To reduce the impact on susceptible crops (e.g., canola), thoroughly cultivate the soil before sowing these crops.

Mixing:

  • Half-fill the spray tank with clean water, add the required amount of the product, agitate thoroughly, then add the remaining water. Reseal part-used containers immediately after use. Do not leave mixtures standing overnight.

Warning:

  • The rubber components in some spraying units may be affected. Wash the spray unit thoroughly after use. Contact the spray unit manufacturer for component suitability.

Application:

Boom Sprayer:

  • Use a minimum of 50 L of water per hectare, with recommended rates of 70 - 100 L/ha for optimal results. Increase water volume for heavy weed infestation or dense crop cover. Complete coverage of weeds is essential.

Selective Herbicide (Aircraft - NSW, Vic, SA only):

  • Apply a minimum of 30 L of water per hectare. Effective control requires good coverage of the leaf surface.
