GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Before using Smart Ester 680 Herbicide, carefully read the Directions for Use, Precautionary Statements, Safety Directions, and First Aid Instructions.

APPLICATION INFORMATION:

  • This product may be used in high or low volume sprays.
  • For boom spraying, use 30-100 liters of water per hectare.
  • For aerial spraying, use 20-90 liters of water per hectare.
  • Check with the Department of Agriculture/Primary Industries in your state for current restricted spraying areas.

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE AND USAGE:

  • Ideally, keep the spray unit for herbicides only.
  • If using for other purposes, wash out the unit thoroughly with hot soapy water and clear water rinses.
  • Do not use wooden spray vats. Replace hoses if unit is used for different purposes.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • This product can be tank-mixed with various herbicides and products, including dicamba, chlorsulfuron, paraquat, glyphosates, metsulfuron, and others.
  • Follow tank-mixing instructions for optimal results.

TANK MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Fill the spray tank ¼ full with water and agitate.
  2. Add wettable powders and water dispersible granules first.
  3. Agitate until dispersed, adding water until the tank is 90% full.
  4. Add suspension concentrates and soluble concentrates. Add emulsifiable concentrates last.
  5. Top up the tank with water and continue agitation until all ingredients are properly mixed.
  6. Observe any specific mixing sequence instructions on the tank mix products.

PRECAUTIONS:

  • Re-entry Period: Do not hand-harvest sugar cane for at least 1 day after application.
  • Wear protective clothing during re-entry, including overalls, gloves, and water-resistant footwear.
  • Launder clothing after each day’s use.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:

  • Group 4 Herbicide (Phenoxys group). Smart Ester 680 has the disruptors of plant cell growth mode of action.
  • Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to Group 4 herbicides may exist. Crop Smart Pty. Ltd. accepts no liability for losses due to resistance.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE, AND NON-TARGET PLANTS:

  • Avoid spraying under conditions that may cause drift onto nearby susceptible crops, pastures, or non-target plants.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Very toxic to aquatic life. Do not contaminate wetlands or watercourses.
  • Avoid spray drift onto susceptible crops and minimize harmful effects on beneficial arthropods.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

  • Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
  • Triple rinse containers before disposal. Dispose of rinsate by adding it to the spray tank.
  • Do not dispose of undiluted chemical on-site. Follow local regulations for disposal.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS:

  • Harmful if swallowed. Will irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
  • Wear protective clothing and equipment during handling and application.
