GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Surefire Gamma is a non-volatile herbicide with activity against many annual and perennial broadleaf weeds and grasses. It is absorbed by plant foliage and green stems. The herbicide is not significantly translocated throughout the plant, only killing the contacted parts. It does not provide residual weed control, and visible symptoms appear in 3 to 7 days, with complete desiccation taking 20 to 30 days under cool conditions.

Best results are obtained when applied under good growing conditions. Avoid application to stressed weeds (e.g., due to severe frosts or waterlogged conditions).

Soil Fumigation/Sterilisation: Surefire Gamma is metabolized by soil microorganisms and should not be applied in conjunction with soil fumigation/sterilization to prevent damage to transplants or seedlings.

Plastic Mulches: Exercise caution when applying over plastic mulches to avoid crop damage due to plant contact with the mulch after spraying.

Mixing: Mix Surefire Gamma easily with clean water. Ensure the spray tank is residue-free and follow proper mixing procedures.

Application Equipment:

  • Ground Sprayers: Aim for thorough and even coverage. Incomplete coverage may result in poor control.
  • Boom or Directed Sprayer Equipment: Apply at label rates with sufficient water for coverage.
  • Knapsack and Handgun Equipment: Apply at label rates with adequate water, adjusting for weed density.
  • Controlled Droplet Application (CDA) Equipment: Apply at recommended rates for specific weeds with proper setup. Do not mix with residual herbicides or adjuvants.

Sprayer Cleanup: Clean all equipment after use by thoroughly flushing with water.

Aircraft: Do not apply Surefire Gamma by aircraft.

Resistance Warning: Surefire Gamma is a Group 10 herbicide, and resistance may occur in weed populations. Use with caution to prevent the dominance of resistant weeds.

Precautions:

  • Re-entry Period: Do not enter treated areas until the spray has dried. Wear appropriate protective clothing.
  • Protection of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans, and Environment: Avoid contamination of water sources with the product.
  • Protection of Crops, Native and Other Non-Target Plants: Avoid spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants. Do not allow contact with desirable foliage, bark, or plastic mulches.

Storage and Disposal: Store in a cool, well-ventilated area. Dispose of containers properly according to local regulations.

Safety Directions: Surefire Gamma can be harmful if absorbed by skin or swallowed. Use protective clothing and equipment to avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wash thoroughly after use.
