General Instructions:

Product Description: This product is a selective herbicide designed to control certain weeds in wheat, triticale, barley, oats, and cereal rye. It can be used as a pre-sowing treatment for wheat and triticale, as well as a post-sowing treatment for wheat, triticale, barley, oats, and cereal rye. When used on emerged weeds, the product is absorbed by foliage and green stems and moves into the root system.

Soil pH Considerations: Before using this product, careful consideration should be given to soil pH. As soil pH increases, the rate of breakdown decreases. This product should not be used on soils with a pH of 8.6 or higher, as soil residual activity could adversely affect following crops and extend crop rotation intervals beyond normal intervals.

Weed Control Conditions: Best weed control is obtained when rainfall or sprinkler irrigation wets the soil to a depth of 5 to 7.5 cm within 4 weeks of application.

Application Instructions:

  • Pre-Sowing Incorporated by Sowing:

    • Apply just before sowing or in conjunction with the sowing operation.

    • Spray onto a no-ridged surface free of large clods.

    • Sow at speeds of 10 kph or greater.

    • Use light covering harrows at sowing.

  • Direct Drilled Crops:

    • Apply tank mixed with paraquat/diquat mixture or glyphosate according to manufacturer's label recommendations.

  • Post Crop and Weed Emergence:

    • Apply after crop emergence and when weeds are small and actively growing.

    • Apply to wheat, triticale, and cereal rye after crop emergence and when weeds are small and actively growing.

    • Apply to barley and oats between the 2-leaf stage of the crop (3-leaf stage in SA) and early tillering, when weeds are small and actively growing.

Spray Preparation:

  1. Fill tank partially with water and engage full agitation.

  2. Add the required amount of RELYON CHLORSULFURON 750 WG HERBICIDE.

  3. Top up with water to the required volume.

  4. If applying with another product, ensure complete dissolution of this product before adding the companion product.

  5. Maintain continuous agitation to keep the product in suspension.

Use of Surfactant/Wetting Agent: For post-emergent application, always add a non-ionic surfactant at 100 mL per 100 L of final spray volume (0.1% volume/volume). Do not add surfactant/wetting agent when the product is tanked with another product containing a surfactant/wetting agent.

Spraying Instructions:

  • Ground Application:

    • Use a properly calibrated boom spray to ensure thorough coverage and a uniform spray pattern.

    • Apply a minimum of 30L of spray mix per hectare.

  • Aerial Application:

    • Apply at a minimum of 20L/ha water.

    • Avoid spraying in still conditions or winds likely to cause drift onto adjacent sensitive crops.

Sprayer Clean-Up: Properly clean the sprayer after using this product to prevent injury to crops other than wheat, triticale, barley, oats, or cereal rye.

Compatibility:

  • This product is compatible with glyphosate and paraquat.

  • It is also compatible with various broadleaf herbicides and insecticides.

  • However, it does not control wild oats but is compatible with wild oat herbicides such as tri-allate, flamprop-m-methyl, and fenoxaprop-p-ethyl.
