GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide Overview: Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide is a non-volatile herbicide effective against various annual and perennial broadleaf weeds and grasses. It is absorbed by plant foliage and green stems, with visible symptoms appearing in 3 to 7 days. Complete desiccation may take 20 to 30 days under cool conditions.

Soil Fumigation / Sterilization: Avoid applying Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide in conjunction with soil fumigation or sterilization, as it may result in damage to transplants or seedlings due to the reduction of microorganisms that metabolize the herbicide.

Plastic Mulches: Exercise caution when applying Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide over plastic mulches, as the herbicide remains active on inert surfaces, and contact with the mulch after spraying may cause crop damage.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING: Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide belongs to the glycine group of herbicides and has the inhibitor of glutamine synthetase mode of action. It is a Group N herbicide for weed resistance management. Resistant weed biotypes may exist, and repeated use of Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide or other Group N herbicides can lead to the dominance of resistant weeds.

Export of Treated Produce: For growers intending to export produce treated with Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide, it is essential to check with Ozcrop Pty Ltd for the latest information on Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) and import tolerances.

Compatibility: Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide is generally compatible with most residual herbicides, glyphosate, metsulfuron, and others. While a wetting agent or adjuvant is usually not necessary, it may be beneficial for hard-to-wet weeds when using water rates exceeding 500 L/ha.

Mixing: Mix Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide with clean water, ensuring the spray tank is free of residues from previous sprays. Add Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide first, followed by other compatible products. Top up the tank to the required volume with agitator running.

Application Equipment:

  • Ground Sprayers: Aim for thorough and even coverage, especially for dense weed stands. Equipment should ensure adequate coverage, penetration, and spray volume while minimizing off-target movement.

  • Boom or Directed Sprayer Equipment: Apply Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide at label rates in sufficient water to achieve thorough weed coverage (300 to 500 L/ha).

  • Knapsack and Handgun Equipment: Apply at label rates with adequate water to thoroughly wet the target weeds (500 to 1000 L/ha).

  • Controlled Droplet Application (CDA) Equipment: Apply through CDA row spraying equipment, ensuring thorough coverage. Do not mix residual herbicides or adjuvants with Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide when using CDA equipment. Exercise caution to avoid contact with crop trunks or canopies.

Note: Special care is needed when using Ozcrop Glufos Herbicide through CDA equipment to prevent contact with crop trunks or canopies. Avoid using CDA equipment in cherry orchards.
