General Instructions:

Product Overview: Rainbow Glufosinate 200 is a non-volatile herbicide effective against various annual and perennial broadleaf weeds and grasses. It's absorbed by plant foliage and green stems, killing only the contacted parts. It doesn't provide residual weed control.

Application Considerations:

  • Timing of Symptoms: Visible control symptoms appear within 3 to 7 days, with complete desiccation taking up to 20 to 30 days under cooler conditions. Apply during favorable growing conditions for best results.

  • Soil Fumigation/Sterilization: Avoid using Rainbow Glufosinate 200 alongside soil fumigation or sterilization, as it may slow down the herbicide breakdown and cause damage to transplants or seedlings.

  • Plastic Mulches: Exercise caution when applying over plastic mulches, as the herbicide remains active on inert surfaces and may damage crops upon contact.

Compatibility:

  • Rainbow Glufosinate 200 is compatible with most residual herbicides and other products like glyphosate and metsulfuron. The addition of a wetting agent may enhance performance under certain conditions.

Mixing Instructions:

  • Mix Rainbow Glufosinate 200 with clean water, ensuring the spray tank is residue-free. Add two-thirds of the required water, then add the herbicide and other compatible products with agitation. Top up the tank to the required volume with clean water.

Application Equipment:

  • Ground Sprayers: Aim for thorough coverage of target plants, ensuring dense weed stands are adequately wetted. Use equipment that minimizes off-target movement.

  • Boom or Directed Sprayer Equipment: Apply at label rates with sufficient water for thorough coverage. Exercise care to avoid dust and turbulence that could carry spray into non-target areas.

  • Knapsack and Handgun Equipment: Apply at label rates with adequate water to wet the weeds thoroughly. Adjust water volume based on weed density.

  • Controlled Droplet Application (CDA) Equipment: Apply through CDA row spraying equipment, ensuring thorough coverage of weeds. Use a total spray volume of 20 to 30 L/ha, preferably when weeds are less than 15 cm in height.

  • Summer Fallow Situations: Apply with ground spraying equipment, aiming for thorough coverage with a minimum of 100L/ha through nozzles delivering a MEDIUM spray droplet size.

Warning: Take special care when using Rainbow Glufosinate 200 through CDA equipment to avoid contact with crop trunks or canopies. Avoid using CDA equipment in cherry orchards.
