GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Crop Establishment: KELPIE GLY 540 SL HERBICIDE is intended for controlling emerged weeds before crop establishment. Adequate cultivation or planting operations must follow herbicide application to ensure suitable conditions for crop emergence and establishment. In cases of heavy weed growth or unfavorable soil conditions, planting should be delayed until weeds decay or soil conditions improve. Incorporating green or decaying vegetation into the soil may slow crop emergence, especially in cold or wet conditions.

Mixing: KELPIE GLY 540 SL HERBICIDE readily mixes with water. Avoid using water containing suspended clay or organic matter, as this may reduce herbicide effectiveness. Use corrosion-resistant containers such as stainless steel, aluminum, or plastic for mixing and storage. Thoroughly rinse all equipment after each use to prevent residue buildup. Use spray solutions promptly to prevent loss of activity over time.

Mixing Instructions:

1. Fill the spray tank one-third to one-half full with clean water and start agitation.

2. Add Liase Liquid Herbicide Adjuvant at a rate of 2 L/100 L spray solution if ammonium sulphate is recommended. Mix thoroughly.

3. Add other recommended herbicides, insecticides, or additives to the spray tank and mix thoroughly.

4. Add KELPIE GLY 540 SL HERBICIDE and the remaining water. Mix thoroughly.

5. If required, add surfactant near the end of the filling process to minimize foaming.

6. Maintain adequate agitation during application and use the tank mix promptly. Clean all equipment after use.

Application: For boom equipment, apply KELPIE GLY 540 SL HERBICIDE at a spray volume of 80 L/ha or less for optimal performance. Use nozzles and pressure settings that produce a MEDIUM or MEDIUM-COARSE droplet size at the target. Avoid using nozzles or pressure settings that produce VERY FINE or FINE droplets to prevent drift. Shielded applications should use a spray volume of 80 L/sprayed ha with appropriate nozzle types and pressure settings.

Wiper Equipment: Wiper equipment can be used to apply KELPIE GLY 540 SL HERBICIDE. Maintain a minimum distance of 10 cm above the crop or pasture to avoid contact. Weeds should be at least 15 cm above the crop or pasture during application. Adjust flow rate to suit equipment for optimal results.

Aerial Equipment: Aircraft application of KELPIE GLY 540 SL HERBICIDE is suitable for controlling weeds in forests, cropland, or pasture before establishing crops, new pastures, or new forest plantings. Apply with boom or Micronair equipment using a spray volume of at least 20 L/ha and settings to produce a MEDIUM droplet size. Thoroughly wash aircraft after each day of spraying to remove herbicide residues.

Application on Hilly Terrain: Increase water volume to 30-80 L/ha and droplet diameter to at least 300 microns for optimal deposition of spray on weeds.

Temperature and Humidity: Avoid applying KELPIE GLY 540 SL HERBICIDE by aircraft at temperatures above 30°C. Increase water volume output to at least 30 L/ha when temperatures rise above 25°C. Avoid application when relative humidity falls below 35%.

Drift Prevention: Avoid spraying under conditions that may cause drift onto nearby susceptible crops, pastures, or other sensitive plants. Do not apply treatments under very light winds or inversion conditions, or when wind speeds exceed 12 km/h.
