GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Activity: TITAN Glyphosate 900 Herbicide is a non-volatile, water-soluble granule product with non-selective herbicidal activity against many annual and perennial broadleaf weeds and grasses. It's absorbed by plant foliage and green stems, moving throughout the plant into the root system. It's immediately inactivated in the soil and doesn't provide residual weed control.

  • Visible Effects: Takes 3-7 days for annual weeds and 2-3 weeks for perennial weeds to show visible effects. Gradual yellowing and wilting progress to complete browning of above-ground growth and deterioration of underground plant parts.

  • Resistant Weeds Warning: TITAN Glyphosate 900 Herbicide belongs to the glycine group of herbicides, inhibiting EPSP synthase. Resistance may develop in weed populations with repeated use. Monitor for resistant weeds, as they won't be controlled by this herbicide.

CROP ESTABLISHMENT:

  • Preparation: Use TITAN Glyphosate 900 Herbicide for weed control before crop establishment. Suitable cultivation and sowing procedures are necessary for favorable seedbed conditions. Delay sowing if heavy weed growth requires time for decay and soil preparation.

  • Cultivation Caution: Incorporating or trashing green or decaying vegetation into seedbeds may delay crop emergence, particularly in cold or wet conditions. Pay attention to seeding depth and avoid using pre-emergence herbicides in marginal seedbed conditions.

MIXING:

  • Dissolution: TITAN Glyphosate 900 Herbicide dissolves readily in clean water. Use only fresh water free from soil particles or calcium/magnesium salts. Avoid using water containing divalent or trivalent metallic ions.

  • Storage: Use spray solution promptly within five days to avoid loss of activity. Clean spray equipment thoroughly after each use to prevent corrosion.

WETTERS:

  • Addition: TITAN Glyphosate 900 Herbicide does not contain wetters and requires their addition. For boom spraying, use 0.25% to 0.5% of a 1000g/L non-ionic wetter in the spray mix. Adjust the amount based on weed age and growing conditions.

TANK MIXTURES/COMPATIBILITY:

  • Herbicides: May be tank-mixed with various herbicides for specific weed control purposes, with attention to label directions, restraints, and compatibility requirements.

  • Insecticides: Compatibility with insecticides like dimethoate, omethoate, fenitrothion, phosmet, and chlorpyrifos has not been tested.

APPLICATION INFORMATION:

  • Equipment: Use low spray volumes with fan nozzle equipment for boom spraying. For aerial application, use registered rates with Micronair or boom equipment, ensuring thorough cleaning after each day of spraying.

  • Shielded Sprayers: Suitable for row crops, preventing any spray solution from touching crop plants to avoid damage.

  • Wiping Equipment: Selectively remove weeds from crops or pastures using wiping equipment, ensuring excess herbicide doesn't drip onto desirable plants.

PROTECTION AND PRECAUTIONS:

  • Containers: Avoid mixing, storing, or applying the product in galvanized, aluminum, or unlined steel containers. Use stainless steel, brass, copper, fiberglass, plastic, or plastic-lined containers instead.

  • Drift Prevention: Avoid spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants, adjacent crops, crop lands, or pastures. Do not apply prior to transplanting tomato seedlings.

  • Environmental Protection: Prevent contamination of dams, rivers, or streams with the product or used containers. Do not apply to weeds growing in or over water, and avoid spraying across open bodies of water.
