GOALTENDER HERBICIDE: GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Usage:

  • Selective Herbicide: Controls certain annual grasses and broadleaf weeds.
  • Crops: Dormant apples, grapes, peaches, pears, plums, apricots, almonds, macadamia, duboisia, tobacco, coffee, pyrethrum, winter cereals, topical/subtropical crops, brassicas, onions, Eucalyptus, Pinus spp., and other forestry trees.
  • Application: To weed-free soil or seedling weeds up to the 4-6 true leaf stage.

Pre-application Recommendations:

  • Soil Preparation: GoalTender applied to well-prepared, weed-free soil should not be disturbed afterward.
  • Residual Control: For optimal control, apply before weed emergence and leave the area undisturbed.
  • Post-emergence Control: Apply to small seedling weeds up to 4-6 true leaf stage. Weeds should be actively growing.

Mixing:

  • Alone: Fill the spray tank with clean water, add GoalTender while agitating, then complete filling. Add surfactant if recommended.
  • Tank Mixing: For tank mixtures, follow specific instructions for each product. Add GoalTender first and maintain agitation.

Tank Mixtures:

  • Glyphosate Mixes: GoalTender + glyphosate tank mixes require thorough agitation. Use immediately after preparation. Do not store mixes.

Application:

  • Spray Equipment: Calibrate carefully. Apply uniformly as a directed treatment to the base of tree and vine crops.
  • Nozzles: Use flat fan or hollow cone nozzles. Ensure both weed foliage and soil surface are sprayed.
  • Volume: Apply using a vehicle-mounted boom, calibrated for 250-500 litres/ha for bare soil or 100-1350 litres/ha for seedling weeds.

Crop Safety:

  • Directed Spray: Can be applied around dormant trees and grapevines at specified rates. Higher rates require older trees.
  • Duboisia: Tolerates over-the-top applications.

Safe Sowing Intervals:

  • Broadacre Crops: Safe intervals for various crops after GoalTender application, considering soil disturbance during planting.

Note: Always follow label instructions, including rates, timings, and safety precautions. Adherence to recommended practices ensures effective weed control and minimizes the risk of crop injury.
