GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Mixing:

  • Add water to the spray tank, ensuring a minimum of 100 L of water is present before adding any pesticides.
  • If tank mixing, first add soluble liquid formulations (e.g., Ken-Trel 300) with one minute of agitation.
  • Add Haloxyken 520 at the point of strongest agitation (do not use a strainer or sieve) and agitate for an additional minute.
  • Half-fill the spray tank.
  • For wettable powder or water-dispersible granule formulations, add after Haloxyken 520, ensuring vigorous agitation.
  • Finally, add Uptake Spraying Oil or an approved alternate oil/wetter while maintaining agitation. Only mix enough for immediate use.

Spraying Oils/Wetters:

  • Use Uptake Spraying Oil at 0.5 L/100L of spray solution. Alternatively, other oils with a non-ionic wetter may be used.
  • When Uptake or other oils are not used, a 100% concentrate non-ionic wetting agent like BS-1000 at 200 mL/100L is required.
  • For water volumes less than 50L/ha, ensure not less than 250 mL/ha of Uptake or 500 mL/ha for oils other than Uptake, or not less than 100 mL/ha of wetter.

Canola, Lucerne, Medic, and Clover Pastures and Seed Crops:

  • When tank mixing with Ken-Trel 300 (canola only) or Broadstrike (Lucerne, clover, and medics), use Uptake Spraying Oil with lower rates of Haloxyken 520 or a wetting agent with higher rates.
  • When mixing with other broadleaf herbicides, do not use oil; use a wetter instead.

Field Peas and Canola:

  • Uptake Spraying Oil is recommended for canola. Hasten is suggested for tank mixtures of Haloxyken 520 and Cletho 240EC.
  • For canola, the tank mixture of Haloxyken 520 + Ken-Trel 750 SG + Uptake Spraying Oil is compatible and selective. It also works with atrazine or simazine and is selective for triazine-tolerant canola.

Navy Beans, Peanuts, Soybeans:

  • When mixing with Blazer or Basagran, do not add spraying oil to these mixtures. Do not use these tank mixes on cowpeas.

Compatibility:

  • Haloxyken 520 is ground-use compatible with various insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and trace elements. Aerial use should only involve recommended crop oil or wetter.

Application:

  • Apply Haloxyken 520 with sufficient water to achieve good coverage, using accurately calibrated ground or aerial equipment.
  • Recommended spray volumes: 50-150 L/ha for ground application, minimum 30 L/ha for aerial application.

Cleaning Spray Equipment:

  • After using broadleaf herbicides, especially sulfonylureas, follow the relevant broadleaf herbicide label for equipment cleaning to prevent damage to susceptible crops.
  • After using Haloxyken 520, thoroughly clean the tank and system using water, agitation, and a cleansing solution with an alkali detergent. Rinse water should be discharged to a designated disposal area.

Safety Directions:

  • Harmful if swallowed. Irritates eyes and skin. Avoid contact. Wear protective clothing, including cotton overalls, PVC gloves, and a face shield or goggles. Wash hands and contaminated clothing after use.
