GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Kenso Agcare Ken-Star 450 is a water-soluble liquid with non-selective herbicidal activity against broadleaf weeds. It controls emerged weeds with no residual effect. Absorbed by plant foliage, it disrupts nutrient balance, leading to gradual yellowing, wilting, browning, and root system deterioration.

CROP ESTABLISHMENT:

Recommended as an herbicide additive to glyphosate before crop establishment. Observe Plant Back Periods influenced by moisture, temperature, and soil characteristics. Delay sowing under specific conditions. Minimize effects by reducing weed bulk, creating a friable seedbed, avoiding pre-emergent herbicides, and using correct seeding depth.

APPLICATION:

BOOM EQUIPMENT: Apply in volumes of 25-100 L/ha. Adjust boom height for double overlap at the weed canopy top. Increase volume to 30 L/ha with certain herbicides.

AERIAL EQUIPMENT: Apply with boom equipment at a minimum volume of 15 L/ha. Increase water volume to 30 L/ha at 25°C.

Application under hot conditions: Increase water volume to 30 L/ha when temperatures reach 25°C. DO NOT apply by aircraft when the temperature is above 35°C. Avoid use in intensive horticultural cropping areas. Wash aircraft thoroughly, especially landing gear, after each day of spraying.

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE: Use stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, fiberglass, or plastic-lined containers. DO NOT use galvanized or unlined steel. Clean equipment with hot soapy water or 1% ammonia solution. Follow decontamination procedures for Sulfonylurea herbicides.

COMPATIBILITY: Compatible with Ken-Up herbicides, Ken-Up Aquatic 360, Dicamba 500, SIEGE, Ken-Chlor 750 WDG, Ken-Met 600 WDG, Simazine, Atrazine, Speedy 250, Kensban 500, Dimethoate, Omethoate, and Phosmet.

SURFACTANT ADDITION: Except in conservation tillage, where Ken-Up 450 CT is tank-mixed, DO NOT add surfactant. Use Ken-Wett 1000 or Buffy according to label directions for Ken-Up 450 CT. DO NOT mix with spraying oils or sulfonylurea herbicides if Buffy is used.

TANK MIXTURES: Ken-Star 450 can be tank-mixed with Ken-Up 450 CT, Ken-Up Aquatic 360 herbicide, and other compatible herbicides, insecticides, and adjuvants. Follow all label directions, restraints, plant back periods, withholding periods, and safety directions for tank mix products.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Fill the spray tank with clean water, start agitation.
  2. Add acidifying surfactant if recommended.
  3. Add herbicide additive/insecticide and mix thoroughly.
  4. Add Ken-Star 450 and mix thoroughly.
  5. Add Ken-Up 450 CT and remaining water.
  6. If using non-ionic surfactant, add near the end of the filling process.
  7. Maintain adequate agitation during application and use the tank mix promptly.
