GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Ken-Up 450 CT Non-Selective, Translocated Herbicide

Overview:

  • Non-selective herbicide killing most emerged weeds and plants.

  • No residual weed control; suitable before sowing any crop (excluding transplanting tomato seedlings).

Usage Guidelines:

  • Absorbed by foliage and green stems, moving into the root system.

  • Treat actively growing weeds; avoid poor growing or dormant conditions.

  • Effects visible in 3 to 7 days for annual weeds, 2 to 3 weeks or more for perennials.

Rainfall and Timing:

  • Rain within 6 hours may reduce effectiveness.

  • Heavy rainfall within 2 hours may require a repeat treatment.

  • Avoid treatment on wet plants; delay if water droplets runoff.

Compatibility:

  • Compatible with certain herbicides, insecticides, and additives.

  • Active constituent: 450 g/L glyphosate (isopropylamine salt).

Withholding Period for Stock:

  • Grazing delay for one day after treating annual weeds, 7 days for perennial weeds.

  • Avoid allowing stock to graze known toxic plants until complete browning.

Resistant Weeds Warning:

  • Member of the Glycines group; inhibition of EPSP Synthase mode of action.

  • Group M Herbicide; resistant weed management is essential.

Crop Establishment:

  • Control emerged weeds before crop establishment.

  • Suitable cultivation and sowing operations are crucial.

MIXING:

  1. Ensure the spray tank is free of previous residues.

  2. Half-fill the tank with clean water.

  3. Add Ken-Up 450 CT or tank mix components according to label directions.

  4. Add Silken Penetrant at the end.

  5. Mix well and use promptly within 5 days.

Surfactant Addition (Silken Penetrant):

  • Improves weed control with high water rates or low product rates.

  • Use 200mL of 1000g/L Silken Penetrant per 100L spray solution.

Application:

Ground Application:

  • Apply 25-100 L of spray mix per hectare.

  • Use fan nozzle equipment with pressures of 240-280 kPa.

  • Set boom high for double overlap of nozzle patterns.

Aerial Application:

  • Use in pasture or fallow before establishing new crops.

  • Do not exceed 3.2 L/ha; use at least 15 L/ha with Micronair or boom equipment.

  • Adjust water volume and droplet size based on conditions.

Drift Warning:

  • Avoid application when the breeze is blowing towards nearby desirable plants.

  • Do not spray under specific weather conditions that may cause drift.

Tank Mixtures - Compatibility:

  • Compatible with various herbicides, insecticides, and additives.

  • Follow all label directions and safety precautions for tank mix products.
