GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: FARMALINX LEAPFROG 450 Herbicide

FARMALINX LEAPFROG 450 Herbicide, containing 450 g/L Linuron, is designed for pre- and post-emergence application to control specific annual grasses, broadleaved weeds, and some seedling perennial weeds in various crops. It is a selective systemic herbicide absorbed primarily by roots but also by foliage, with translocation occurring mainly acropetally in the xylem.

Usage Instructions:

  1. Shake the product well before opening.
  2. Fill the spray tank with water to three-quarters of the required volume.
  3. Pour LEAPFROG 450 into the tank with the agitation system running.
  4. Top up to the required volume with water while continuing agitation.
  5. If combining with FARMALINX DIMOP, add LEAPFROG 450 last.
  6. Ensure good agitation for continuous suspension of LEAPFROG 450.
  7. After use, flush out the system with clean water and wash nozzles and filters.

Application Rates:

  • Boom Sprays: Use approximately 80 L-110 L water per hectare (ha).
  • Aircraft: Use 20 L-30 L water per hectare (ha). Avoid exaggerating swath width.

Compatibility: LEAPFROG 450 may be mixed with FARMALINX DIMOP where recommended. However, do not add a wetting agent.

Resistant Weeds Warning: LEAPFROG 450 belongs to the Urea group of herbicides with the photosynthesis inhibitor mode of action. It is a Group C herbicide for weed resistance management. Resistant weed biotypes may exist, and repeated use can lead to dominance. No liability is accepted for losses resulting from the failure of LEAPFROG 450 to control resistant weeds.

Protection Measures:

  • Crops: Avoid planting susceptible crops (e.g., crucifers, lettuce) immediately after LEAPFROG 450 application.
  • Spray Drift: Do not apply under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that may cause spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, or pastures.
  • Overspraying: Avoid overspraying, especially on headlands or when turning.
  • Soil Considerations: Do not apply on light soils if heavy rain is likely within 24 hours, especially with rates above 1 Liter and on soybeans.

Environmental Protection:

  • Water Contamination: Do not contaminate streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used containers.

Storage and Disposal:

  • Storage: Store in the closed original container in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
  • Rinsing Containers: Triple or pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to the spray tank.
  • Disposal: Dispose of undiluted chemicals off-site. If recycling, return clean containers to recycle. If not recycling, puncture and deliver empty packaging to an approved waste management facility. If no facility is available, bury the empty packaging 500 mm below the surface in a designated disposal pit, complying with relevant regulations. Do not burn empty containers or product.
