GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Farmalinx LEAPFROG 450 Herbicide contains 450 g/L Linuron and can be applied pre- and post-emergence to control certain annual grasses, broadleaved weeds, and some seedling perennial weeds in various crops. It is a selective systemic herbicide primarily absorbed by roots but also by foliage, with translocation primarily acropetally in the xylem.

APPLICATION

Shake well before use. Fill the spray tank with water to three quarters of the required volume, then add LEAPFROG 450 with agitation running. Top up to the required volume with water while still agitating. If combining with FARMALINX DIMOP, add LEAPFROG 450 last. Ensure good agitation for continuous suspension. Flush the system with clean water after use and wash nozzles and filters.

  • BOOM SPRAYS: Use approximately 80 L-110 L water per hectare (ha).

  • AIRCRAFT: Use 20 L-30 L water per hectare (ha). Do not exaggerate swath width.

COMPATIBILITY

LEAPFROG 450 may be mixed with FARMALINX DIMOP where recommended. Do not add wetting agent.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING

Farmalinx LEAPFROG 450 Herbicide is a Group C herbicide with the photosynthesis inhibitor mode of action. Resistant weed biotypes may exist and dominate populations if used repeatedly. Employ integrated weed management strategies and be aware of resistance.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS

  • Avoid planting susceptible crops immediately following treated crops.

  • Do not apply under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that may cause spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops.

  • Avoid overspraying, particularly on headlands or when turning.

  • Do not apply on light soils if heavy rain is likely within 24 hours.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT

Avoid contaminating streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

  • Store in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from sunlight, and out of reach of children.

  • Triple rinse containers before disposal and add rinsings to the spray tank.

  • Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. Follow recycling or waste management regulations.

  • If recycling is not possible, dispose of empty packaging at an approved waste management facility.

  • Do not burn empty containers or product.
