GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Imtrade Lionex Selective Herbicide belongs to the phenoxy and nicotinanilide groups of herbicides. It inhibits carotenoid biosynthesis and disrupts plant cell growth. To manage weed resistance, it's classified as both a Group F and a Group I Herbicide.

TOLERANCE

  • Some crops, like cereals, may experience transient yellowing after application, but subsequent growth should be unaffected under normal conditions.

  • It's important to test oat varieties Esk and Nile (common in Tasmania) for tolerance before widespread use.

  • Clover varieties' tolerance can vary based on factors like application rate, soil type, crop health, growth stage, and environmental conditions.

  • Certain clover varieties are more sensitive to Imtrade Lionex Selective Herbicide, while others have shown acceptable levels of tolerance.

  • Pasture grasses like Phalaris and Cocksfoot may initially show reduced vegetative growth after application.

SUBSEQUENT CROPS

  • Thoroughly cultivate soil before sowing subsequent crops like Canola to minimize the herbicide's impact on susceptible plants.

MIXING

  • Mix Imtrade Lionex Selective Herbicide evenly by adding half the required water to the spray tank, then the herbicide, and finally the rest of the water. Agitate thoroughly before spraying.

  • Avoid leaving spray mixtures containing Imtrade Lionex Selective Herbicide overnight, as prolonged exposure to cold temperatures can cause product settling.

  • Rubber components in some spraying units may be affected by the herbicide's solvents. Wash the spray unit thoroughly with a boom cleaner and fresh water after each use.

APPLICATION

  • For boom sprayers, use a minimum of 50L of water per hectare, but 70-100L/ha is recommended for optimum results. Adjust water volume based on weed infestation and crop density.

  • For aerial application in NSW, Victoria, and South Australia, use a minimum of 30L of water per hectare to ensure effective weed control through thorough leaf surface coverage.
