GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Maxunitech Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide:

Formulation and Application: Maxunitech Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide is an emulsifiable concentrate formulation. It is to be mixed with water and applied according to the labeled Directions for Use. This post-emergence herbicide is added to knockdown herbicides to enhance the control of specific broadleaf weeds, including marshmallow. It is suitable for application prior to fallow establishment, in winter and summer broadacre and horticultural crops, grass pastures, commercial, industrial, and public service areas, as well as around agricultural buildings, yards, and tree fruits, nuts, and grapevines. The herbicide can be used alone for controlling volunteer cotton seedlings, including Roundup Ready cotton, and for desiccating regrowth in cotton.

Speed and Action: Maxunitech Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide acts rapidly as a contact herbicide, aiding in weed control through membrane disruption. Foliage uptake is swift, and plant desiccation can occur within four days of application. For optimal results, the herbicide should target small, actively growing weeds, and subsequent germinations will not be controlled.

Symptoms and Environmental Effects: The herbicide is absorbed through plant foliage, causing signs of desiccation within hours. Susceptible weeds exhibit necrosis and death in the subsequent days. Environmental conditions such as temperature, moisture, soil conditions, and cultural practices can influence the herbicide's activity. Warm and moist conditions accelerate herbicidal symptoms, while very dry conditions may delay expression, with drought-hardened weeds being less susceptible.

Compatibility: For most uses, Maxunitech Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide should be tank-mixed with formulations of knockdown herbicides like Gladiator, Roundup Power MAX, Roundup CT, Credit/Bonus, or others based on glyphosate. Compatibility extends to partner herbicides commonly used with knockdown herbicides, such as atrazine, 2,4-D amine, 2,4-D ester, triasulfuron, pendimethalin, simazine, trifluralin. The herbicide is also compatible with non-ionic surfactants (wetting agents) like BS1000, Shirwet 600, and with oil adjuvants including Supercharge and Hasten.

Timing and Application: Apply Maxunitech Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide to small, actively growing weeds (less than 6 to 8 leaf stage). As a contact herbicide, optimal control is achieved when weeds are exposed and not shielded by other vegetation. In cotton, the herbicide can be used to desiccate regrowth before harvest.

Mixing Instructions: When mixing, add half the required volume of water to the spray tank and initiate agitation. Add any partner SC or WG herbicide first if needed before an EC or knockdown herbicide. Next, add the measured amount of Maxunitech Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide, followed by the knockdown herbicide (if required). Add the remaining water to the tank and any recommended adjuvant or additive. Maintain agitation until spraying is completed, and do not store the spray mixture overnight.

Application Methods: For ground sprayers, apply as a broadcast application using a conventional boom sprayer. Use single orifice flat fan nozzles like Spraying Systems TeeJet® 11001, 110015, 11002, or equivalent sizes. Aerial application is allowed only for cotton desiccation. Spray equipment should be calibrated for uniform application.

Sprayer Clean Out: Thoroughly clean all spray equipment after using Maxunitech Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide. Use an alkaline detergent cleaning solution, ensuring immediate cleaning after each use. Proper disposal of cleaning solution should adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.

Plant Back & Rotation Recommendations: Maxunitech Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide does not provide residual activity, and thus, no crop plant back or rotational restrictions apply. Check the labels of any products mixed with Maxunitech Carfentrazone-ethyl 240 EC Herbicide for specific plant back periods or usage restrictions.
