GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

AC Mayhem 225 Insecticide is a water-miscible liquid for spray application. Follow these instructions for effective use:

1. ADD WETTING AGENT:

  • Add a non-ionic agricultural wetting agent at a rate of 0.025% of the active material (25mL/100L for most wetting agents).
  • Ensure thorough mixing.

2. INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING:

  • Group 1A Insecticide: AC Mayhem 225 Insecticide belongs to this group.
  • Insecticide resistance management is crucial. Resistant insect biotypes may exist through genetic variability.
  • The effectiveness of the insecticide on resistant insects could be reduced with repeated use.
  • Axichem Pty Ltd accepts no liability for losses resulting from the failure of the product to control resistant insects.
  • Specific resistance management strategies may apply. Consult with your local supplier, Axichem representative, or agricultural department agronomist.

3. EXPORT OF TREATED PRODUCE:

  • Check for Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) or import tolerances in export markets before using AC Mayhem 225 Insecticide.
  • Contact Axichem Pty Limited for the latest information on MRLs and import tolerances.

4. MIXING:

  • Fill the spray tank 1⁄4 to 1⁄2 full of water.
  • Start agitation (mechanical or hydraulic means, not air agitation).
  • Add the required quantity of AC Mayhem 225 Insecticide.
  • Continue filling with water and add non-ionic wetting agents as recommended.
  • Agitate thoroughly before spraying.

5. APPLICATION:

  • Apply when wind velocity is low to prevent drift.
  • Do not apply as a fog or mist.
  • Proper timing and good coverage are essential for effective insect control.

6. LARVICIDAL APPLICATION:

  • Apply recommended rates when insects first appear.
  • Repeat as needed.
  • Use lower rates for small larvae and light infestations, higher rates for larger larvae and heavy infestations.
  • Best control is achieved when spray schedules start on young insects.

7. OVICIDAL/LARVICIDAL APPLICATION:

  • Use these rates when crops are regularly monitored for eggs and larvae.
  • Use lower rates when eggs are present, higher rates for heavy egg lays or first to second instar larvae (up to 5 mm).
  • For larger larvae (longer than 5 mm), use larvicide rates.
  • May be used at ovicidal/larvicidal rates with other recommended larvicides.

8. GROUND APPLICATION:

  • Apply as a coarse spray with low-pressure ground equipment.
  • Use sufficient water for thorough, uniform coverage.

9. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR TREE CROPS/VINES:

  • Dilute Spraying:

    • Use a sprayer for high volumes of water up to run-off.
    • Achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy.
    • Adjust dilute spray volume and sprayer setup as the crop grows.
  • Concentrate Spraying:

    • Use a sprayer designed for concentrate spraying.
    • Achieve even coverage using your chosen water volume.
    • Adjust spray volume, product amount, and setup as the crop grows.

10. AIR APPLICATION (Cotton, Soybeans, Sorghum, Mung beans, Sunflowers, Pastures, Winter cereals, and Linseed only):

  • Use a minimum of 22L/ha of water; increase spray volume based on crop density and pest pressure.
  • Turn off spray boom when passing over creeks or dams.
