Kenso Agcare MCPA 250 Selective Herbicide - General Instructions

Product Overview:

  • Kenso Agcare MCPA 250 is a selective herbicide acting by penetrating the cuticle of plants, causing disruption of plant cell growth.
  • It provides visible results within a few days for susceptible weeds but may take several weeks for harder-to-control weeds.
  • MCPA may be washed off leaves if rain follows within six hours of application.

Resistant Weeds Warning:

  • MCPA 250 is a Group I Herbicide, part of the phenoxys group.
  • Weeds may develop resistance if herbicides are used repeatedly; resistant weeds won't be controlled by MCPA 250.
  • Kenso Corporation accepts no liability for losses resulting from the failure of MCPA 250 to control resistant weeds.

Timing and Application:

  • Apply when weeds are actively growing under favorable conditions.
  • Annuals should be sprayed when young, and perennials just prior to flowering.
  • Extreme cold or drought may reduce efficacy, and spraying is best done in moist soil with fine weather and no rain expected within 6 hours.

Legume Tolerance:

  • MCPA is preferred in situations where legumes are undersown in the crop.
  • Tolerance varies among legumes: Lucerne (not tolerant), Medics (low tolerance), Sub-Clover (moderate tolerance), White Clover (moderate tolerance), Strawberry Clover (high tolerance).

Application and Mixing:

  • MCPA 250 mixes readily with water.
  • For boom spraying, use 120-240 liters of water per hectare, and for aerial spraying, use 40-60 liters per hectare.
  • Equipment used for MCPA 250 should not be used for other materials unless thoroughly cleaned.
  • Compatible with Ken-Met 600 WDG, dicamba, bromoxynil, Kenso Agcare Ken-Chlor 750 WDG, terbutryn, and Kenso Agcare Diuron 500.

Protection of Livestock, Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans, and Environment:

  • Do not contaminate waterways with the chemical or used container.
  • Dispose of containers in an approved manner.
  • Do not use on crops, trees, or plants where damage may occur.
  • Avoid spray drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, or pastures.

Storage and Disposal:

  • Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from children, animals, food, and fertilizers.
  • Triple rinse containers before disposal and do not burn empty containers.
  • Refillable containers should be properly maintained and returned to the point of purchase.
  • Follow specific storage and disposal guidelines for refillable containers.

Note: Always read Safety Directions, First Aid Instructions, Directions for Use, and Protection statements before using the product.
