GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS – BRUSH APPLICATIONS, ESTABLISHED PASTURES AND PASTURE RENOVATION

Albaugh Metsuram 600 WG Herbicide is a selective herbicide absorbed by root and leaves. Ensure the addition of a surfactant/wetting agent. Follow these guidelines for optimal results:

  1. Best Application Conditions:

    • Apply to actively growing plants not stressed by factors like dry weather or waterlogging.
    • Ensure thorough coverage for maximum herbicide uptake.
  2. Regrowth and Retreatment:

    • Regrowth may occur if applied during stress or incomplete coverage.
    • For blackberries, consider retreatment if plants are at least 1 meter tall, typically 2 years after the initial application.
  3. Legume Sensitivity:

    • Overspraying with Albaugh Metsuram 600 WG Herbicide will remove legumes from pasture.
    • Introduced grass species may be damaged if oversprayed.
  4. Timing and Weed Condition:

    • Application to actively growing weeds is crucial; some weeds may only be stunted if applied during adverse conditions.
    • Weeds previously treated or burned/slashed should be treated after a 2-year interval.
  5. Caution with Bushes Bearing Mature Blackberries:

    • Avoid applying to bushes with mature blackberries meant for food purposes.
  6. Effect on Grasses and Legumes:

    • Some grasses may be damaged; biomass production might be reduced for several months.
    • Legumes are extremely sensitive and will be removed from pasture if oversprayed.
  7. Weed Resistance Management:

    • Albaugh Metsuram 600 WG Herbicide is a Group 1 Herbicide.
    • Resistance may occur through repeated use; control of resistant weeds is not guaranteed.
  8. Specific to Pasture Renovation:

    • Sorrel seedlings may germinate the following year; ungerminated clover won't be affected, but seed set will be reduced.
    • Resow clover if necessary.

SPRAY PREPARATION:

  1. Partially fill the spray tank with water.
  2. With agitation engaged, add the required amount of Albaugh Metsuram 600 WG Herbicide using the provided measuring device.
  3. Add the remaining water, maintaining agitation.

USE OF SURFACTANT/WETTING AGENT:

  • Always use a surfactant/wetting agent with Albaugh Metsuram 600 WG Herbicide.
  • For tank mixing with Glyphosate or gas gun applications, follow specific recommendations for surfactant use.

APPLICATION EQUIPMENT:

  • Apply by air, handgun, boom spray, or gas gun as per the Directions for Use Table.
  • Ensure thorough coverage for handguns and boom spray.
  • Aerial application (helicopter only) must be properly calibrated for coverage and droplet size.

TANK MIXES WITH GLYPHOSATE HERBICIDE:

  • In certain situations, a tank mix with Glyphosate may enhance weed control. Refer to the directions for use table.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • Compatible with glyphosate formulations, MCPA Amine, MCPA Ester, 2,4-D Amine, dicamba, Clopyralid, Fluroxypyr 200, chlorpyrifos, omethoate, and other pasture herbicides.
  • Always refer to companion product labels for instructions and restrictions.

CROP ROTATION RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • Metsulfuron methyl breakdown varies based on soil conditions.
  • Sensitive crops include barley, canola, rye, chickpeas, faba beans, and more. Legumes will be removed from pasture if oversprayed.
