GROUP 20 FUNGICIDE
For the control of black scurf (Rhizoctonia solani) in potatoes
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Monceren 125 DS Fungicide is a non-systemic fungicide of the phenylurea type. When applied to seed tubers at planting Monceren 125 DS will provide protection from seed borne Rhizoctonia solani. To reduce soil infections of Rhizoctonia solani use crop rotation and other management practices.
Fungicide Resistance Warning
For fungicide resistance management Monceren 125 DS is a Group 20 fungicide. Some naturally occurring fungal populations resistant to the product and other Group 20 fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungal population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by this product or other Group 20 fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, Bayer CropScience Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that result from failure of Monceren 125 DS to control resistant fungi.
Application
Monceren 125 DS is applied to seed tubers at planting. Measure out the quantity of Monceren 125 DS required to treat a hopper load of seed tubers. Apply Monceren 125 DS to the seed pieces as the hopper is being filled. Care must be taken to evenly distribute the chemical over the seed tubers.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
POTATOES
Disease: Black scurf (Rhizoctonia solani)
Rate: 200 g/100 kg seed potato
Critical comments: Apply at planting. Ensure even distribution of Monceren 125 DS over the seed potato.
Do not apply Monceren 125 DS to freshly cut potatoes until cut wounds have dried. Tubers should be free from soil deposits at
the time of treatment.
Ensure seed pieces are dry prior to planting if conditions favour seed piece breakdown (e.g. high soil temperature and moisture, high relative humidity, light textured soils, poor seed quality, or insect damaged seed). Seed must be completely dry
prior to any other process.
NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE, OR IN ANY MANNER, CONTRARY TO THIS LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION
WITHHOLDING PERIOD: NOT REQUIRED WHEN USED AS DIRECTED
