GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Product Overview:
- Nufarm Flight is a post-emergence, foliar-absorbed herbicide with short soil residual activity.
- Exhibits pre-emergence activity under favorable conditions.
Warning Statements and Safety Precautions:
- Avoid using an open mixing and loading system for fixed-wing aerial application.
Mixing:
- Half-fill the spray tank with water.
- Initiate agitation and add the required product amount.
- Maintain agitation during tank filling and throughout spraying.
Application: Ground Application:
- Use flat fan nozzles with 50-150L water/hectare.
- Employ air induction nozzles (e.g., AirMix) for COARSE spray quality.
- Adjust water volume for dense weed/crop conditions.
Aerial Application:
- Apply in a minimum 30L water/hectare with COARSE spray quality.
- Ensure good weed coverage; effectiveness may be lower than ground application.
Crop Safety:
- Transient bleaching of cereal foliage may occur, especially with higher rates on young crops.
- Bleaching is limited to leaves at application and does not affect subsequent crop growth.
- More pronounced symptoms in stressed crops; avoid swath overlapping.
Sprayer Clean-up:
- Clean the sprayer after use, especially before spraying sensitive broadleaf crops.
- Drain the system, rinse with water, and clean filters separately.
- Use a boom cleaner if Nufarm Flight® is tank-mixed with other products.
RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING:
- Group 6, 12, and 4 herbicide; inhibits photosynthesis, carotenoid biosynthesis, and disrupts cell growth.
- Use in rotation with herbicides of different modes of action for weed resistance management.
COMPATIBILITY:
- Physically compatible with specified herbicides; avoid adding spraying oil.
- Bottle-test mixtures in the intended water for spraying before commercial mixing.
PRECAUTIONS:
- Protect human flaggers with enclosed cabs.
- Re-entry allowed after spray dries; wear protective clothing.
- Avoid drift onto susceptible plants/crops; certain crops are highly sensitive.
PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE AND ENVIRONMENT:
- Toxic to algae; prevent contamination of water bodies.
- Avoid application near sensitive water bodies and non-target vegetation.
- Prevent runoff within two days of application.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:
- Store in a cool, well-ventilated area; avoid prolonged sunlight exposure.
- Triple-rinse non-refillable containers before disposal; do not burn.
- Returnable containers: Empty fully before refilling; return to the point of supply.
SAFETY DIRECTIONS:
- Poisonous if inhaled or swallowed; damaging to eyes and irritating to skin.
- Wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and a half-face respirator during handling.
- Wash exposed areas immediately; seek medical attention if needed.
- Avoid spray mist inhalation; wash hands after use and launder contaminated clothing.
