GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Use:

  • Nufarm Terbazine 875 WG can be used to selectively control weeds in various crops and on fallows before establishing crops, as specified in the directions for use table.

Pre-emergence Application:

  • When applied pre-emergence, absorption primarily occurs via the roots.
  • Weeds buried by cultivation may not be effectively controlled.
  • Heavy rainfall on light soils may move the herbicide out of the weed seed zone, reducing weed control.
  • Avoid applying to recently burnt stubble/trash; rainfall or cultivation is required after burning to prevent irreversible binding of Nufarm Terbazine 875 WG by ash.

Activation:

  • Nufarm Terbazine 875 WG is activated by rainfall.
  • A sufficient rainfall (20 to 30 mm) within 2 to 3 weeks of application is necessary to wet the soil through the weed root zone.
  • Delayed rainfall beyond 3 weeks may result in surviving weeds germinating from depth.

Leaching Potential:

  • In soils with high leaching potential, heavy rainfall between application and crop emergence may lead to herbicide movement into the crop seed zone, causing crop damage.

Flood or Furrow Irrigation:

  • In flood or furrow irrigation, a thin band of dry soil on the surface during or after irrigation may prevent complete activation.
  • Mechanical incorporation using light harrows (not more than 4cm deep) is required to ensure proper activation.

Dense Weed Populations:

  • Dense weed populations, especially Wild Radish, may require both pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide treatments, with Nufarm Terbazine 875 WG being one of them.

MIXING:

  • DO NOT mix or load within 20 m of any well, dam, stream.
  • Partially fill the spray tank with water, maintain agitation, add the required quantity of Nufarm Terbazine 875 WG, and continue agitation during spraying.
  • If the spray is allowed to stand, thoroughly agitate before resuming spraying.

APPLICATION:

Ground Application:

  • Apply by ground boom only in a minimum of 50 L/ha.

Pre-Sowing:

  • Apply up to 7 days prior to sowing on cultivated or un-worked soil. For cultivated soil, ensure it's relatively level before and after spraying.

Incorporation By Sowing (IBS):

  • Achieve best results using minimum-tillage sowing equipment, followed by press wheels.
  • Avoid using press wheels plus harrows or chains when sowing.

Post Sowing Pre Emergence (PSPE):

  • Apply within 2 days of sowing to flat soil after sowing operations.

Post Emergence:

  • Apply to Triazine Tolerant (TT) canola up to 6-leaf stage and sorghum up to 5-7 leaf stage.
  • Always add Banjo at 500 mL/100L water.

Directed (Lay-By) Application:

  • In cotton, apply as a directed spray when cotton is 30-50 cm high, minimizing contact or drift onto cotton plants.
  • Always add Banjo at 500 mL/100L water for post-emergent weed control.

Fallow Application:

  • Apply to fallow for pre-emergence control of weeds before sowing nominated crops.
  • Apply to moist soil or when rain is imminent and before weed germination.

Tank Mixing:

  • Some reduction in control may occur when tank-mixing with other products.
  • Conduct a small-scale compatibility test before tank mixing.
  • Follow all label directions, restraints, plant-back periods, withholding periods, and safety directions for tank mix products.
  • See the Compatibility section of the label for additional details.
