GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Imtrade Octopus 800 WG Fungicide is a broad-spectrum contact and systemic fungicide. It is taken up via the stem and foliage and translocated upwards and outwards to provide protection to new growth. Thorough coverage of the crop is necessary for optimal results.

Check the crop regularly for any symptoms of disease infection. Apply as soon as the disease is present on the flag leaf or flag-2. Application beyond flag leaf emergence (ZGS 39) may not provide any yield benefit, particularly under dry seasonal conditions.

MIXING

Imtrade Octopus 800 WG Fungicide is a water dispersible granule formulation. Slowly add granules to the half-filled spray vat while agitating. Continue to agitate while topping up the tank and during spraying.

APPLICATION

  • Ground: Apply in a water volume between 50 and 100L/ha, using flat fan nozzles operating at around 50cm above the top of the crop. Use the higher water volume in crops with heavier canopies.

  • Aerial: Apply with a suitable aircraft, set up and operated to apply fungicides to cereal crops in a minimum water volume of 20L/ha.

COMPATIBILITY

For more information on compatibility, please contact your local reseller or Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd representative.

FUNGICIDE RESISTANT WARNING

Imtrade Octopus 800 WG Fungicide is a member of the DMI group of fungicides. For fungicide resistance management, it is a Group 3 Fungicide. Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to Imtrade Octopus 800 WG Fungicide and other Group 3 Fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can dominate the fungal population if these fungicides are used repeatedly, resulting in reduced efficacy and possible yield loss. Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd accepts no liability for losses resulting from the failure of Imtrade Octopus 800 WG Fungicide to control resistant fungi.

RE-ENTRY PERIOD

DO NOT enter treated areas until the spray has dried, unless wearing cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing). Clothing must be laundered after each day’s use.

CAUTION

Export of Treated Cereals:

  • Growers should note that Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) or import tolerances DO NOT exist in all markets for cereals treated with Imtrade Octopus 800 WG Fungicide.
  • Some export markets have established MRLs different from those in Australia.
  • If growing cereals for export, check with Imtrade Australia Pty Ltd or your grain exporter for the latest information on MRLs and import tolerances BEFORE using Imtrade Octopus 800 WG Fungicide.

LIVESTOCK DESTINED FOR EXPORT MARKETS:

  • The grazing withholding period applies only to stock slaughtered for the domestic market.
  • Some export markets apply different standards. Ensure compliance with the grazing withholding periods and observe the Export Slaughter Interval before selling or slaughtering stock.

EXPORT SLAUGHTER INTERVAL (ESI)

AFTER OBSERVING THE PERIOD FOR GRAZING OR CUTTING FOR STOCKFOOD, LIVESTOCK THAT HAVE BEEN GRAZED ON OR FED TREATED CROPS SHOULD BE PLACED ON CLEAN FEED FOR 3 DAYS PRIOR TO SLAUGHTER.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT

  • HIGHLY TOXIC TO AQUATIC ORGANISMS.
  • DO NOT apply under weather conditions or from spraying equipment that could cause spray drift onto adjacent crops, crop lands, livestock, pastures, wetlands, water bodies, or watercourses.
  • DO NOT apply aerially if water bodies, watercourses, or wetlands are within 30 meters downwind of the application area.
  • DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

  • Store in the closed, original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight.
  • Rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to the spray tank. DO NOT dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site.
  • For 1kg pack size: Break, crush, or puncture and deliver empty packaging for appropriate disposal to an approved waste management facility. If not available, bury the empty packaging 500mm below the surface in a disposal pit marked for this purpose.
  • For plastic containers above 1kg: Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. DO NOT dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. If recycling, return clean containers to the recycler. If not recycling, bury the empty packaging 500mm below the surface in a disposal pit marked for this purpose.
  • For plastic bags: Single-rinse or shake remainder into the spray tank/water/dip/drench, etc. DO NOT dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. Puncture and deliver empty packaging to an approved waste management facility or bury it 500mm below the surface in a designated pit.
