GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - GENFARM PANZER 510 HERBICIDE

Mode of Action:

  • Water-soluble liquid herbicide with non-selective action.
  • Controls a broad range of emerged annual and perennial weeds.
  • No residual activity; inactivated upon contact with soil.
  • Absorbed by plant leaves and stems, translocating to the root system.
  • Inhibits a plant enzyme, leading to metabolic breakdown and plant death.
  • Visual effects include gradual wilting, yellowing, and complete plant browning.
  • Effects on annual weeds may appear in 3-7 days, and for perennials, up to 14-21 days.
  • Time to effect varies with translocation speed influenced by climatic conditions.

Resistant Weed Warning:

  • Group M Herbicide with EPSP Synthase inhibition mode of action.
  • Weed resistance management is crucial due to natural genetic variability.
  • Resistant weeds may dominate if herbicides are used repeatedly.
  • Genfarm Crop Protection Pty. Ltd. is not liable for losses due to resistance.

Crop Establishment:

  • Recommended for weed control before establishing a new crop or pasture.
  • Sow when a suitable seedbed is present.
  • If a light cover of weeds is sprayed, sowing may be possible in one day.
  • For areas with dead weed matter, prepare the seedbed before sowing.

MIXING AND APPLICATION:

Mixing:

  1. Half-fill the tank with clean water.
  2. Add the required amount of Genfarm Panzer 510 Herbicide.
  3. Add the rest of the water.
  4. Add surfactant last.

Compatibility:

  • May be mixed with various products for enhanced weed control, spectrum expansion, and residual control.
  • Crystalline Ammonium Sulphate minimizes antagonism with flowable Triazine herbicides.
  • Test ammonium sulfate quality before use.
  • Compatible with herbicides like Atrazine flowable/granular, Dicamba, 2,4-D ester, etc.
  • Use Flowright compatibility agent when mixing with Goal CT for improved compatibility in cold water.

Equipment Maintenance and Usage:

  • Store, mix, or apply only in plastic, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, or fiberglass containers.
  • Highly reactive with galvanized steel and unlined steel, forming a combustible gas mixture.
  • Wash all equipment thoroughly after use to prevent corrosion.

APPLICATION METHODS:

Boom Application:

  • Spray volumes of 25-100 L water/ha recommended.
  • Use a fan nozzle at 240-280 kPa with boom height for double overlap at weed canopy top.

Wiper Equipment:

  • Use rope wick, canvas, carpet, or felt applicators.
  • Operate wiper equipment at least 10cm above the crop.
  • Best results at lower speeds with a double pass.

Aerial Application:

  • Minimum spray volume of 20 L/ha for Micronair and boom equipment.
  • Droplet size: 250-350 microns; swath width: 15-17 meters.
  • Aerial application only recommended in pasture or fallow situations.
  • Avoid spraying in conditions conducive to drift.

Application in Hot Conditions:

  • Increase water volume to at least 30 L/ha when the temperature reaches 25°C.
  • Maintain droplet size at least 300 microns.
  • Do not use by air in temperatures above 30°C.

Surfactant Addition:

  • Addition of surfactant may enhance weed control, especially in high-rate or low-product-rate situations.
  • Recommended surfactant rates provided.

Mixing:

  • Use clean water; dirty or hard water may reduce product effectiveness.

Follow all specified rates, precautions, and recommendations. Thoroughly clean equipment after use to prevent corrosion.
