General Instructions:

  • KELPIE RICO 450 GLY Herbicide Overview: This herbicide is a non-volatile, non-selective liquid that is soluble in water. It is absorbed by plant foliage and green stems, moving through the plant to the root system. Effects may take 3–7 days for annual weeds and 2-3 weeks for perennial weeds to become apparent, especially in cooler or cloudy conditions.

  • Weed Control and Residual Activity: KELPIE RICO 450 GLY Herbicide controls emerged weeds only and does not provide residual weed control. Treat weeds with at least one true leaf for broadleaf weeds or two leaves for grasses.

  • Crop Establishment: Suitable cultivation and sowing operations are recommended prior to using the herbicide for controlling emerged weeds. Ensure proper seed bed conditions for optimal crop germination and development.

  • Mixing Instructions: Mix KELPIE RICO 450 GLY Herbicide with water, avoiding the use of water containing soil or hard water with calcium salts. Use appropriate containers and tanks to avoid the formation of flammable gas mixtures. Add surfactant near the end of the filling process to minimize foaming.

  • Tank Mixtures/Compatibility: KELPIE RICO 450 GLY Herbicide may be tank-mixed with certain herbicides, insecticides, and additives. Follow all label directions, restraints, and safety precautions for tank mix products. Conduct a small-scale test before mixing commercial quantities.

Application:

  • Spray Techniques: Apply the herbicide using spray volumes appropriate for broadacre or treeline/vineline spraying. Use nozzles and pressure settings to deliver a COARSE to VERY COARSE spray quality to the target. Avoid using nozzles or settings that produce FINE or VERY FINE spray quality to minimize loss or drift.

  • Environmental Considerations: Consider environmental conditions such as wind speed and direction, as well as the size and density of target weeds, when selecting nozzles and adjusting application parameters. Minimize off-target drift by applying with the lowest boom height to achieve double overlap of the spray pattern at the top of the target.

Precautions:

  • Crop and Plant Protection: Avoid contact with desirable crops, plants, and trees, as severe injury or destruction may occur. Clean all equipment thoroughly after use to prevent accidental damage to crops or other plants.

Note: Always read and follow the specific instructions and precautions provided on the product label.
