GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

MIXING:

  • ROCKSTAR 200 can be mixed with water or diesel. Mix only enough for each day's use and avoid storing.
  • Mixing in Water: Half fill the spray tank with water, add ROCKSTAR 200, and complete filling. Agitate continuously for thorough mixing.
  • Mixing in Diesel: Half fill the spray tank with diesel, add ROCKSTAR 200, and agitate or shake to mix contents.
  • Tank Mixtures: Wettable powder or dry flowable formulations should be added first, followed by suspension concentrates, water-soluble salts, and then emulsifiable concentrate formulations (ROCKSTAR 200). Add spraying oils and surfactants last.

OILS AND SURFACTANTS:

  • Oils: Use Uptake® Spraying Oils at the specified rate. When using less than 100L/ha spray volume, ensure a minimum of 250mL/ha of Uptake® Spraying Oil is used.
  • Surfactants (Wetters): Use Imtrade Pro 700 Surfactant at 300mL/100L. Use a 1000g/L non-ionic surfactant at 100mL/100L where required.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • ROCKSTAR 200 is compatible with the listed herbicides. Follow all directions and restrictions on the label of any product mixed with ROCKSTAR 200.
  • When mixing with Atrazine, agitation is crucial. Tank mixes with ROCKSTAR 200 plus Atrazine must be agitated vigorously and continuously during mixing and application.
  • Avoid using hard water if possible. If hard water cannot be avoided, adding CALGON water conditioning agent may improve compatibility.
  • Agitation is essential when mixing ROCKSTAR 200 and Atrazine. Settling out may occur, and re-suspension can be difficult, especially with larger tanks. Additional mechanical agitation may be necessary in large tanks and mixing tanks.

APPLICATION METHODS and WATER RATES:

BROADCAST APPLICATION IN CROPPING, PASTURE, AND FALLOW SITUATIONS:

  • Ground Application (Boom): Use flat fan nozzles with pressures in the range of 200-300kPa. Set the boom for a double overlap of nozzle patterns.
  • Ground Direct Application (Dropper Nozzles): Use dropper nozzles to minimize crop effects. Adjust to direct spray into the base of the crop.
  • Aerial Application: Apply in a minimum volume of at least 35L/ha water. Use equipment calibrated to produce droplets with an average diameter of 250-350 microns. Do not apply in temperatures above 30°C, no wind, or when wind is blowing toward susceptible crops.

WOODY WEED SITUATIONS:

  • Weeds must be actively growing for optimal effect. Delay treatment of regrowth following various activities until it has at least 1 meter of new, vigorous growth.
  • High Volume Application (Hand Gun): Apply the recommended mix for full coverage of leaves and stems.
  • Low Volume, High Concentrate Application (Drench Gun or Gas-Powered Gun): Apply uniformly across foliage by applying shots to cover 4 to 5m2 of plant surface area.
  • Basal Bark and Cut Stump Application:
    • Basal Bark: Spray or paint around the base of each stem, wetting the bark to the point of runoff.
    • Cut Stump: Apply liberally to the freshly cut stump immediately after cutting.

CLEANING SPRAY EQUIPMENT:

  • Rinse water should be discharged onto a designated disposal area or wasteland away from desirable plants and watercourses.
  • Follow specific procedures for cleaning equipment after using water-based or diesel-based sprays. Use degreasers and detergents as needed. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
