GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

MIXING/APPLICATION

Prior to pouring, shake the container vigorously, then add the required quantity of FARMALINX Scale & Bug Insecticide to water in the spray vat while stirring or with agitators in motion.

Dilute Spraying

• Use a sprayer designed for high water volumes matching the crop growth stage.
• Calibrate the sprayer for even coverage and apply water to cover the crop without excessive run-off.
• Determine the water volume from tests, guidelines, or specialist advice.
• Add the specified product amount per 100 L of water from the Directions for Use table. Spray to run-off.
• Adjust dilute spray volume, sprayer calibration, and operation as the crop grows.

Concentrate Spraying

• Use a calibrated sprayer for concentrate spraying.
• Calibrate for even coverage using a chosen water volume.
• Determine dilute spray volume for the crop canopy.
• Calculate the concentrate mixing rate using the concentration factor.
• Adjust spray volume, product amount, and sprayer setup as the crop grows.

Application Instructions: Citrus Only

Apply FARMALINX Scale & Bug Insecticide in sufficient water for complete wetting of all surfaces.

Oscillating Booms

Use a spray volume of 7,000 to 12,000 L water/ha for trees up to 5m high.

• Optimize control with recommended procedures: ground speed, pump pressure, oscillation rate, spray pattern, agitation, and boom set angle.

Airblast Sprayers

May be used for jassids/leafhoppers; use approximately 5000 L/ha for control.

COMPATIBILITY

FARMALINX Scale & Bug Insecticide is compatible with Dithane Rainshield Neo Tec Fungicide and other common agricultural chemicals but not compatible with Sacoa BioPest Oil or highly alkaline/acidic products.

CLEANING SPRAY EQUIPMENT

After use, empty the tank, wash inside with a pressure hose, clean filters, circulate clean water through pumps, lines, hoses, and nozzles. Repeat rinsing twice.

INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING

• FARMALINX Scale & Bug Insecticide is a Group 16 insecticide.
• Limit two applications per crop season to minimize resistance.
• Resistant biotypes may exist; monitor and follow resistance management strategies.

PRECAUTIONS

• Re-entry Period: DO NOT enter treated areas without protective clothing until the spray has dried.
• Protection of Crops, Native and Other Non-Target Plants: Avoid spray drift onto nearby plants/crops.
• Protection of Livestock: Do not allow stock to graze under treated trees.
• Protection of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans, and Environment: Prevent contamination of waterways; avoid application if heavy rain is imminent.

PROTECTION OF NON-TARGET INSECTS

• FARMALINX Scale & Bug Insecticide at label rates (30 to 60 mL/100L water) is safe for various beneficial insects but may affect certain species. Consult guidelines for details.
