GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Resistant Weeds Warning: Scanner Selective is classified as both a Group F and Group I herbicide. Resistant weed biotypes may develop if used repeatedly, which could reduce efficacy over time.
Tolerance: Certain pre-emergence herbicides, like atrazine, may stress crops and increase crop damage when used with Scanner Selective. Sub-clover is particularly sensitive. Transient crop yellowing may occur after application in cereals, but subsequent growth should be unaffected under normal conditions.
Warning (Oats): The tolerance of oats varieties Esk and Nile to Scanner Selective has not been tested extensively. Test on a small area before widespread use.
Pasture: Clover varieties may vary in tolerance based on application rate, soil type, crop health, growth stage, and environmental conditions. Some varieties may experience transient crop yellowing and growth suppression, especially at higher rates or in areas of double spray. Certain clover varieties and pasture grasses have shown acceptable tolerance to Scanner Selective, while others may be more sensitive.
Subsequent Crops: Thorough soil cultivation before sowing susceptible crops like canola can reduce the impact of Scanner Selective residues.
Mixing: Half-fill the spray tank with clean water, add Scanner Selective, agitate thoroughly, then add the remaining water. Do not let mixtures stand overnight.
Warning (Rubber Components): Some spraying units' rubber components may be affected by Scanner Selective solvents. Wash the spray unit thoroughly after each use to reduce the risk.
Application: For boom sprayers, use a minimum of 50L/ha of water, preferably 70-100L/ha for optimum results. When using aircraft in NSW, Vic, and SA, apply in a minimum of 30L/ha of water for effective leaf surface coverage.
