General Instructions:

Product Description: Sinon Angle 750 WG Herbicide is a selective herbicide formulated to control specific weeds in wheat, triticale, barley, oats, and cereal rye. It can be applied either pre-sowing or post-sowing.

Soil pH Consideration: Before application, soil pH should be carefully considered. Higher soil pH levels slow down the breakdown of the product. Avoid using on soils with a pH of 8.6 or higher to prevent extended residual activity that could harm subsequent crops.

Weed Control Timing and Methods: For optimal weed control, ensure that rainfall or sprinkler irrigation wets the soil to a depth of 5 to 7.5 cm within four weeks of application. The timing and method of application vary based on crop type, soil pH, and growth stage.

  • Pre-Sowing Incorporated by Sowing:

    • Apply just before sowing or during sowing, ensuring a non-ridged surface free of large clods.

    • Use low profile combine points and light covering harrows at sowing.

    • Avoid applying to dry sandy soils in WA to prevent rapid leaching.

  • Post Crop and Weed Emergence:

    • Apply after crop emergence and when weeds are small and actively growing.

    • Adjust application timing based on the growth stage of the crop and weeds.

Resistant Weeds Warning: Sinon Angle 750 WG Herbicide belongs to the sulfonylurea group of herbicides with the inhibitor of the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS) mode of action. Some weed biotypes resistant to this herbicide and other Group B herbicides are known to exist. Avoid repeated use to prevent resistant weed dominance.

Grazing Advice: Avoid grazing treated areas within 24 hours of application to optimize weed control. No withholding period applies for grazing treated areas when used as directed.

Crop Safety: Exercise caution to avoid using this product on crops other than cereals or under stress conditions. Damage can occur under various stressors, including excessive soil alkalinity or acidity, poor nutrient status, disease, nematode or insect infestation, adverse weather conditions, drought, or waterlogging.

Specific Crop Restrictions: Specific restrictions apply to certain wheat, barley, and oats varieties. Follow these guidelines to avoid potential yield reductions or crop damage.

Compatibility: Avoid making more than one application of Group B herbicides to a crop, either pre-sowing or post crop and weed emergence.

Further Guidance: Consult with your farm chemical supplier, consultant, or local Department of Agriculture or Primary Industries for strategies to minimize the risk of herbicide resistance and ensure effective weed management.
