GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

SMART CARFENTRAZONE 400 EC HERBICIDE is an emulsifiable concentrate formulation to be mixed with water and applied as per the labeled Directions for Use. It's a post-emergence herbicide used to improve control of certain broadleaf weeds including marshmallow prior to establishing fallows, winter and summer broadacre and horticultural crops, marshmallow control in grass pastures, in commercial, industrial, and public service areas, around agricultural buildings, yards, and other farm situations, or in tree fruits, nuts, and grapevines.

SYMPTOMS
SMART CARFENTRAZONE 400 EC HERBICIDE is rapidly absorbed through foliage, causing desiccation and necrosis of susceptible weeds within hours to days following application. Environmental factors such as temperature, moisture, soil conditions, and cultural practices can affect its activity.

COMPATIBILITY
Tank mix SMART CARFENTRAZONE 400 EC HERBICIDE with formulations of glyphosate, paraquat, and/or glufosinate, as well as partner herbicides commonly used with knockdown herbicides. It is compatible with certain nonionic surfactants and oil adjuvants, as well as insecticides like alpha-cypermethrin, bifenthrin, omethoate, and phosmet.

TIMING
Apply to small, actively growing weeds less than 6 to 8 leaf stage for best results. Ensure weeds are exposed and not shielded by other vegetation.

MIXING
Add water to the spray tank, start agitation, then add SMART CARFENTRAZONE 400 EC HERBICIDE, followed by other herbicides if necessary. Maintain good agitation until spraying is completed.

APPLICATION
Ground sprayers should use flat fan nozzles for broadcast applications, ensuring proper calibration and uniform coverage. Aerial application is only permitted for cotton desiccation. Ideal conditions include moist soil, fine weather, and no rainfall within one hour of application. Adjustments may be needed based on environmental conditions.

SPRAYER CLEAN OUT
Thoroughly clean all spray equipment immediately after use, especially when spraying highly active materials like carfentrazone-ethyl. Use an alkaline detergent cleaning solution and follow specific steps outlined for proper cleaning and disposal. Ensure all residues are removed to prevent effects on subsequent applications.
