GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Product Description:
Smart Paraquat 300 Herbicide is a non-selective herbicide designed to control annual grasses and most annual broadleaf weeds (excluding capeweed) in specified situations. It quickly kills green plant tissue on contact and is immediately inactivated in the soil. The principle of selective weed control with this product allows perennial plants and clovers to recover after an initial scorch, promoting the thickening of desirable perennial species at the expense of weeds.

Weed Control:
Moisture and fertility should not be limiting at spraying, and the proportion of desirable species must be sufficient to fill in areas previously occupied by weeds. Long-term weed control can be achieved by combining the quick knockdown provided by this product with soil residual chemicals.

Application:
Do not use hand-held ultra-low volume controlled droplet applicators (CDA units), boomless jets, or misting machines. Smart Paraquat 300 should be mixed with water in the spray tank and agitated for even mixing. A wetting agent is included in the product, and additional wetter may be required under certain circumstances. Clean water free from clay, silt, and algae should be used for mixing.

Spraying Conditions:
Avoid spraying plants under stress or covered with dust or soil. Results are better in dull weather or at the end of the day. Light rain following spraying will not affect results, but drift into neighboring crops should be avoided.

Compatibility:
Smart Paraquat 300 combines satisfactorily with certain herbicides, insecticides, and additives. Tank mixing with compatible products can provide prolonged weed control as well as quick knockdown.

Resistant Weeds Warning:
Smart Paraquat 300 Herbicide belongs to the Group L herbicides and may not control resistant weeds. It is essential to practice weed resistance management to prevent the dominance of resistant weed populations.

Protection:
Avoid spray drift onto susceptible plants, crops, cropping lands, or pastures. Do not apply near water used for irrigation or livestock watering. Keep domestic pets and poultry away from treated areas. Take precautions to prevent contamination of streams, rivers, or watercourses.

Storage and Disposal:
Store Smart Paraquat 300 in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight. Triple-rinse containers before disposal and follow local regulations for proper disposal.
