GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS CONTINUED

MIXING: Nufarm TERRAIN 500 Herbicide is a water dispersible granule formulation contained within a water-soluble bag. Ensure water-soluble bags are not handled or exposed to moisture to prevent breakages. Do not touch bags with wet hands or place them on wet surfaces. Protect unused sachets by keeping them in the original container and open sachets only as needed. To ensure even mixing, half-fill the spray tank with clean water. Tear open the necessary number of sachets and drop the water-soluble bags into the spray tank without touching them. Keep the agitation system engaged. Mix thoroughly until fully dissolved. Add the knockdown herbicide and remaining water, mixing thoroughly. Add spray additive near the end of the filling process to minimize foaming. Always maintain adequate agitation during application and use the tank mix promptly.

APPLICATION:

  • For application rates up to 90g/ha, apply in a minimum of 80 L spray solution per hectare.
  • For application rates above 280g/ha, apply in a minimum of 200 L spray solution per hectare.
  • If pH of spraying water is above 7.0, acidify with an appropriate buffering agent before adding Nufarm TERRAIN 500 Herbicide (e.g., Collide 700 or equivalent).

1. Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds, Lucerne, and Cotton:

  • Refer to the Directions for Use and General Instructions of the knockdown herbicide label.
  • Nufarm TERRAIN 500 Herbicide is a contact herbicide, and coverage is crucial.
  • Use air induction nozzles that deliver coarse droplets produced by wide-angle flat fan or twin jet nozzles for best results.
  • Avoid air induction nozzles with a spray oil such as Hasten.
  • Adjust water volumes based on partner herbicide requirements.

2. Sugarcane:

  • Refer to the Directions for Use and General Instructions of the knockdown herbicide label.

3. Selected Non-Crop Uses:

  • Refer to the Directions for Use and General Instructions of the knockdown herbicide label.
  • Nufarm TERRAIN 500 Herbicide is a contact herbicide, and coverage is crucial.
  • Use air induction nozzles that deliver coarse droplets produced by wide-angle flat fan or twin jet nozzles for best results.
  • Avoid air induction nozzles with a spray oil such as Hasten.
  • Adjust water volumes based on partner herbicide requirements.

CROP TOLERANCE:

  • All Crops: Crop safety may be compromised under compounding factors such as insect pressure, waterlogging, and nutrient deficiency.
  • Lucerne: Use only in established lucerne that is at least 12 months old since planting. Apply to established, dormant lucerne during Autumn or Winter before shoot growth starts or between cuttings prior to 15 cm of regrowth. Transient crop yellowing and growth suppression may occur, but subsequent growth and seed yield should not be affected. Consult local representatives for advice on specific varieties.
  • Pre-emergent - Incorporation by Sowing (IBS) - Wheat, Chickpeas, Faba Beans, and Field Peas: Apply up to a week before sowing, incorporating immediately before sowing. Maintain slow to moderate speed during sowing to avoid deep furrows and ensure seed is below the treated soil band.

CROP ROTATION RECOMMENDATIONS: Rotational crops may be planted after applying Nufarm TERRAIN 500 Herbicide at the registered label rates. Planting earlier than recommended intervals may result in crop injury. For crops not specified, plant back or recropping intervals are unknown. For guidance on crops not listed, contact Nufarm Australia Limited before sowing.
