General Instructions for Grochem Thiram 800 WG:

Foliar Application:

  • Apply when conditions favor disease development or at the first sign of disease.
  • It is a protectant fungicide, not effective against existing infections.
  • Spray to achieve thorough coverage of stems, leaves, buds, and flowers.

Seed Dressing:

  • Does not adversely affect germination if used as directed.
  • When used with Rhizobium inoculum, apply fungicide first, let it dry, then apply inoculum.
  • Sow into a moist seed-bed immediately after treatment to avoid reduction in nodulation.
  • Seed flow characteristics may be altered; recalibrate the drill using treated seed.
  • Clean equipment with water after use.
  • DO NOT carry over treated seed from season to season.

Mixing for Foliar Application:

  • Mixes readily with water; no pre-mixing required.
  • Spray vat should be no more than 25% full during mixing.
  • Vigorous agitation is required during product addition.
  • Pour the product steadily; do not dump all at once.
  • Add Spreadwet 600 Wetting Agent (16mL per 100 liters) after product dispersion.

High Volume Application:

  • Mix specific rates per 100L water and spray to the "point of run-off."

Low Volume Application:

  • Use specified rates per hectare with effective low-volume equipment.
  • Aim for even droplet coverage over all plant surfaces.
  • Water volumes may range from 30 to 500L/ha depending on crop and equipment.

Instructions for Avocado Crops:

Dilute Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for high water volumes up to the point of run-off.
  • Set up for even coverage throughout the crop canopy.
  • Apply sufficient water to cover the crop to the point of first run-off.
  • Determine water volume through tests or expert advice.
  • Add the specified amount of product for each 100L of water.
  • Spray to the point of run-off.
  • Adjust dilute spray volume and sprayer setup as the crop grows.

Concentrate Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for concentrate spraying.
  • Achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy with chosen water volume.
  • Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume for the crop canopy.
  • Consult local advisors or Department of Agriculture for volume determination.
  • Calculate concentrate mixing rate.

Example for Concentrate Spraying:

  • Dilute spray volume: e.g., 1,500L/ha
  • Chosen spray volume: e.g., 500L/ha
  • Concentration factor: 3x (1,500L ÷ 500L)
  • If dilute label rate is 200 g/100L, concentrate rate becomes 3 x 200, which is 600g/100L of concentrate spray.
  • Adjust spray volume, product amount, and sprayer setup as the crop grows.

Compatibility:

  • DO NOT mix with lime sulfur or Copper Sulfate/Lime Mix.

Resistance Warning:

  • Group M3 Fungicide.
  • Fungicide resistance management is crucial.
  • Grochem Australia Pty Ltd accepts no liability for losses due to product failure against resistant fungi.

Precautions:

  • DO NOT use treated seed for consumption.
  • DO NOT let treated seed contaminate grain/seed for consumption.
  • DO NOT feed treated seed to wild or domestic birds.

Re-entry Period: For Mangoes:

  • High exposure activities: 34 days.
  • Low exposure activities: 15 days.

For Avocados:

  • High exposure activities: 38 days.
  • Low exposure activities: 19 days.
