GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

VENOM 240 SC Insecticide is a contact and residual insecticide/miticide. It can be used preventively at regular intervals or as a knockdown treatment to control existing pests. Optimal results are achieved when applied before pest populations become damaging.

APPLICATION

Dilute Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for high volumes of water to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy.

  • Apply sufficient water to cover the crop to the point of run-off, avoiding excessive run-off.

  • Determine the required water volume from industry guidelines or expert advice.

  • Add the specified amount of product for each 100 L of water and spray to the point of run-off.

  • Adjust spray volume and equipment setup as the crop grows.

Concentrate Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer calibrated for concentrate spraying and adjust settings to achieve even coverage.

  • Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume and calculate the concentrate mixing rate.

  • Adjust spray volume and equipment setup as needed.

Ground Application:

  • Apply as a fine spray, preferably using hollow cone nozzles, with a droplet size of 150 to 200 microns.

  • Application volume depends on the crop type, ranging from 50 to 2000 L/ha.

Aerial Application:

  • Apply with at least 20 L/ha of total spray volume during cooler parts of the day or night.

  • Use suitable equipment and nozzles to deliver a fine spray with a droplet size of 150 to 200 microns.

  • Employ a spray drift minimization strategy, especially near sensitive areas.

MIXING

Add the required quantity of VENOM 240 SC to water in the spray tank and mix thoroughly. Maintain agitation during mixing and application.

COMPATIBILITY

VENOM 240 SC is compatible with commonly used fungicides and herbicides. Surfactants may be required for hard-to-wet plants or high-volume situations.

MONITORING

Regularly monitor pest populations for effective control, especially for Citrus leafeating weevil populations.

PRECAUTIONS

  • Restrict entry into treated areas until the product has dried.

  • Wear appropriate protective clothing during handling and application.

  • Avoid contamination of waterways and sensitive areas.

  • Protect bees by avoiding spraying during active foraging periods.

Storage and Disposal:

  • Store in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area away from children, animals, food, and feedstuffs.

  • Dispose of containers according to local regulations and industry standards.

  • Follow guidelines for recycling or disposal of empty containers.

Resistance Warning:

VENOM 240 SC is a Group 3A insecticide, and resistance management strategies should be followed to prevent reduced effectiveness against resistant insects.
