GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Before using ZULU XT, make sure to read the Directions for Use, Precautionary Statements, Safety Directions, and First Aid Instructions carefully.

ZULU XT is a water-soluble liquid herbicide effective against broadleaf weeds. It controls emerged weeds only and does not provide residual control. The herbicide is absorbed by plant foliage and accumulates to toxic levels, disrupting the plant's ability to balance nutrient synthesis and utilization. Visible effects include gradual yellowing, wilting, and eventual browning of above-ground growth, along with root system deterioration. Effects may take 7-10 days to become apparent, and up to 21 days under cold or cloudy conditions.

Avoid treating weeds under poor growing or dormant conditions, such as during drought, water-logging, disease, insect damage, or following frost. Reduced results may also occur if weeds are under stress from previous herbicide applications. Rainfall within 6 hours after application may reduce effectiveness. Avoid spraying in strong winds.

Crop Establishment: ZULU XT is recommended as a herbicide additive to Wipe-Out 450 or other compatible glyphosate formulations for controlling emerged weeds before crop establishment. Certain plant-back periods should be observed to ensure safe sowing of the intended crop. This degradation process is influenced by moisture, temperature, and soil characteristics. Conditions that can delay crop germination and seedling development should be minimized. Grazing, cultivating, trash left on the soil surface to dry out, and proper seeding depth are suggested practices.

Spray Applications and Drift Risk Assessment: For aerial application, it's recommended to use an aerial applicator business accredited for the Aerial Improvement Management System (AIMS). Various checks and precautions, including weather conditions assessment, should be undertaken before and after spray application. Extra care is needed for night spraying to avoid inversion conditions.

Application Information: For ground sprayer application, use 50-250 L/ha of water. For aerial application, use 20-90 L/ha of water, with higher volumes for dense stands of larger weeds.

Equipment Maintenance and Usage: Equipment used for ZULU XT should not be used for applying other materials to sensitive plants unless thoroughly decontaminated. Cleaning procedures are detailed on the product label. Proper filtration is recommended. ZULU XT and glyphosate mixtures should be stored and applied only in specified containers to prevent hazardous reactions.

Mixing Instructions: Follow these steps for mixing:

  1. Fill the spray tank with water and start agitation.

  2. Add recommended additives/insecticides and mix thoroughly.

  3. Add ZULUĀ® XT and mix thoroughly.

  4. Top up the tank and add glyphosate product and remaining water.

  5. Add any activators or surfactants near the end of the filling process.

  6. Maintain agitation during application and use the tank mix promptly.
