Tetranychus cinnabarinus

Carmine and twospotted spider mites are differentiated on the basis of live summer female forms. Carmine spider mite females are red; twospotted spider mite females are yellowish to dark green. Oval and about 0.4 mm long, females of both species have two or four dark, dorsal spots. Smaller than the females, males of these two species have slightly pointed abdomens. Adults of both species have eight legs.
