Symptoms
Sucking of larvae and adults, when populations are high, can produce pustules on branchlets and spots on leaves. This can sometimes lead to deformation of the leaves. Considerable damage is caused by the honeydew secreted by the larvae which stains leaves and fruit and which serves as the growth medium of black sooty mould.
