GENERAL INFORMATION
GRAMOXONE 250 is a non-residual fast-acting herbicide active on green plant tissues only. Most grasses and flat weeds are controlled, but clovers recover quickly. It is inactivated on contact with the soil. Contents of this container are dyed blue for identification.
BEWARE: Apply this product carefully. Spray drift may cause serious damage to other desirable plants.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
GRAMOXONE 250 Herbicide contains a member of the bipyridyliums group of herbicides. GRAMOXONE 250 is a Group D herbicide. Resistance to this herbicide could develop from repeated use.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the New Zealand (Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Food Standards

BANKS OF DRAINS AND WATERWAYS
Weeds Controlled: Grasses, Broadleaf weeds, emerged aquatic weeds
Rate: Handgun: 600 mL per 100 litres of water Boom: 6.0 litres in a minimum of 500 litres of water/ha
Critical Comments: GRAMOXONE 250 is not recommended for the control of submerged weeds but Reglone is approved and recommended for this use.

CLOVER SEED CROPS
Weeds Controlled: Suppression of Ryegrass, volunteer grasses, and control of flat weeds
Rate: 1.2 to 1.6 litres in 250 to 300 litres of water/ha
Critical Comments: Apply 2 weeks before closing. If irrigation is available water the crop 1 or 2 weeks after spraying.

FENCE LINES, STOCK YARDS
Weeds Controlled: General weeds
Rate: 4 to 8 litres in 500 litres of water/ha Handgun: 400 mL per 100 litres of water
Critical Comments: For a clean up of weeds along fence lines and around stock yards.

FORESTRY
Weeds Controlled: Grasses, Broadleaf weeds
Rate: 4 litres in 200 to 300 litres of water/ha
Critical Comments: Pre-plant: For overall or strip treatment.

Rate: 1.6 litres/100 litres of water
Critical Comments: For spot applications.

Rate: 1.6 litres/100 litres of water
Critical Comments: Post-plant: To release trees from competition. Ensure that trees are shielded from the spray

LUCERNE
Weeds Controlled: Most fibrous rooted grasses and Annual Broadleaf weeds
Rate: 1.6 to 2.4 litres with 0.8 to 1.4 kg simazine (90% a.i.) in 250 to 300 litres of water/ha

Weeds Controlled: Shepherd's Purse, Subterranean Clover in established stands
Rate: 1.6 to 2.4 litres with 850 g atrazine (90% a.i.) in 250 to 300 litres of water /ha

Critical Comments: Apply this mixture during winter (when lucerne is dormant). The addition of simazine (90% a.i.)provides season-long control and kills more weed species. The mixtures should be well agitated before and during spraying.

NON-SELECTIVE WEED CONTROL
Weeds Controlled: Barley Grass
Rate: Handgun: Apply 240 mL/100 litres of water
Critical Comments: Applied while the seedhead is still green will kill the seed. DO NOT spray once the seedheads have begun to turn brown. Ensure complete wetting of plants and seedheads.

Weeds Controlled: Barley Grass (vegetative or green seedhead stage)
Rate: Handgun: Apply 240 mL with 90 g simazine (90% a.i.) /100 litres of water
Critical Comments: Gives complete control of plants and seeds and proofs sprayed areas against reinfestation for up to 6 months. The mixture can be applied during autumn, winter and early spring. The mixture is not recommended for selective control of Barley Grass in pasture. DO NOT spray once seedheads have begun to turn brown.

Weeds Controlled: Australian Sedge
Rate: Handgun: 100 mL plus 500 mL 2,4-D (72% a.i.) per 100 litres of water. Aerial: 8.8 litres plus 22 litres 2,4-D (72% a.i.) in a minimum of 550 litres of water/ha
Critical Comments: Apply in the active growth period between November and April. Ensure thorough wetting of all foliage.
Half overlap flying is recommended to ensure better coverage of the sedge.

Weeds Controlled: Tall Fescue, Rushes
Rate: Handgun: 600 mL in 100 litres of water
Critical Comments: Spot spray during spring and autumn, preferably to regrowth following hard grazing or mowing.

STREETS AND INDUSTRIAL SITES
Weeds Controlled: General clearing of weed growth
Rate: 4 to 8 litres in 500 litres of water/ha. Handgun: 400 mL/100 litres of water
Critical Comments: Spray during spring or autumn. For long term control apply together with an appropriate residual herbicide.

MIXING
GRAMOXONE 250 contains sufficient wetting agents for most uses. Use only clean water for mixing.

APPLICATION
Conventional spray equipment may be used but complete coverage of the weed foliage is essential. For boom spraying 200 to 300 litres of water per hectare will generally give optimum coverage. At the completion of spraying all application equipment should be thoroughly washed. Two or three changes of clean water are usually sufficient.

STORAGE
Store in the closed, original container in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. DO NOT store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.
