For the control of codling moth and leafrollers on Pipfruit

GENERAL INFORMATION
VOLIAM TARGO is a non systemic foliar-applied insecticide that controls codling moth and leafrollers in apples and pears. It contains two active ingredients with complementary modes of action with both contact and ingestion activity. VOLIAM TARGO has translaminar movement as well as residual activity on the leaf surface. Thorough coverage is essential to ensure optimum results.
Note: DO NOT apply if rainfall is expected before spray would have dried, as reduced efficacy may result.
Crop monitoring: For effective Codling moth and Leafroller control, regularly monitor crops during the season and apply when the pest threshold is reached.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
VOLIAM TARGO contains members of the chloride channel activator (avermectin) and ryanodine receptor modulator (diamide) group of fungicides. VOLIAM TARGO is a Group 6 and 28 insecticide. Resistance to this insecticide could develop from repeated use. To minimise this risk use strictly in accordance with label instructions and resistance management strategies.

INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT
VOLIAM TARGO is compatible with IPM programmes using the predator mites Typhlodromus pyri, Phytoseiulus persimilis and T.occidentalis (although VOLIAM TARGO may suppress numbers temporarily).

ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION
DO NOT apply when weather conditions favour drift from the target area. Very toxic to fish and other water-borne organisms.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is an offence to use this product on animals.
The rates suggested are for high volume spraying to thoroughly wet the crop without run-off. For concentrate spraying adjust dilution rate accordingly.

APPLES, PEARS
Pest: Codling moth, Leafrollers
Rates: 37.5mL /100 litres. Apply in sufficient water to ensure 750mL of VOLIAM TARGO/ha on mature trees
Critical Comments: Ensure thorough coverage. Commencing at petal fall apply a maximum of 2 sprays at 21 day intervals or alternatively monitor insect populations as per IFP practices and apply when the pest threshold is reached. Use alternative products for the rest of the season. DO NOT apply more than 2 applications per season. DO NOT apply VOLIAM TARGO to the apple variety Golden Delicious. Note: For pipfruit export withholding periods refer to the NZ Pipfruit Wallchart and contact your exporter.

MIXING
Add the required amount of VOLIAM TARGO to the partly filled spray tank, then add the remainder of the water while thoroughly agitating. Continue agitation while spraying.

COMPATIBILITY
VOLIAM TARGO is compatible with most of the commonly used fungicides and some foliar fertilisers and nutrient products in pipfruit.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS
It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the New Zealand (Maximum Residue Limits of Agricultural Compounds) Food Standards.
