FORMULATION & ACTIVE INGREDIENT:GEOXE is a water dispersible granule formulation containing 500 g/kg fludioxonil.
TARGETS:For use on apples, pears, crab apples and quinces.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this section must be carefully read in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product

PROPERTIES OF GEOXE
GEOXE is a fungicide containing fludioxonil and is best used as a protectant treatment or in the earliest stages of diseasedevelopment
GEOXE may be used as part of a programme of sprays. To maintain a high level of protection, and to prevent or limit the development of Botrytis strains less sensitive to the product, applications of GEOXE should not be made consecutively but should be used in alternation with fungicides with different modes of action, with satisfactory efficacy against the pathogen.

DISEASES CONTROLLED
When GEOXE is applied in a pre-harvest spray programme a reduction in the following orchard and storage rots may be  achieved:
Botrytis spp. Monilinia spp. Nectria spp. Penicillium spp. Alternaria spp.
Phlyctema vagabunda

CROP SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Best results will be achieved from applications of GEOXE made in the earliest stage of disease development or as a protective treatment following a disease risk assessment or the use of appropriate support  systems.

Rate Of Use
A rate of 0.45 kg/ha should be used for trees of 3 – 3.5m height at full canopy density. Apply in 300 -1500 l/ha of water to ensure good crop   cover
Where tree height and/or canopy density is reduced, the dose (and water volume) should be adjusted in accordance with an appropriate dose adjustment scheme. Consult Syngenta or your specialist advisor for further information. Further information on the PACE scheme is available from HDC, or see the HDC leaflet (Orchard Spraying: Opportunities to reduce rates) available on the CRD website.
Always spray to achieve a thorough and even coverage of the foliage as this will maximise the protectant properties of the   product.
Where trees are significantly taller than 3.5m height, the efficacy is likely to be  reduced

Timing
For optimum results apply GEOXE as a protectant spray from BBCH 74 (fruit diameter up to 40 mm; fruit erect) to the fruit ripe stage (BBCH 89). A further application of GEOXE can be made if disease pressure remains high. Allow a minimum of 7 days between applications. Application should be made in sequence with other products as part of a fungicide  programme
The latest time of application is 3 days before  harvest.

PROCESSING
Where a crop of fruit is destined for processing, consult your processor before treating with GEOXE

RECOMMENDATIONS
Spray Volume
Apply through broadcast air-assisted sprayers in at least 300-1500 litres of water per hectare. Water volume should be based on the size of the trees and the leaf area at application and should be sufficient to ensure good   coverage.

Mixing and Spraying
Make sure the sprayer is set to give an even application at the correct volume. Fill the spray tank with half the required volume of clean water and start agitation. Add the required amount of GEOXE to the spray tank. The solution in the spray tank should be continuously agitated during mixing and continued until spraying has been completed. Thoroughly wash all spray equipment with water immediately after  use
Wash out containers thoroughly, preferably using an integrated pressure rinsing device, or manually rinse three times. Add washings to the sprayer at the time of   filling.
Complete filling to the required volume and continue to agitate throughout the spraying operation.
Do not leave the spray liquid in the sprayer for long periods (such as during meal breaks or overnight)

After Spraying
Thoroughly wash out sprayer according to manufacturer’s guidelines and dispose of washings and clean containers according to DEFRA Code of Practice and local water authority guidelines

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
In order to minimise the likelihood of the development of resistance, it is recommended that GEOXE should be used in a programme with products of different chemical   groups. Alternating with different modes of actions is a recognised disease resistance managementstrategy
Applications of GEOXE should preferably not be made consecutively but should be alternated with fungicides with a different mode of   action
This product is to be used only in accordance with the recommendations and instructions given on the labels provided with this pack.
