A selective herbicide for control of broad-leaved weeds.
Contains 600 g/l (46.3% w/w) mecoprop-p and 84 g/l (6.5% w/w) dicamba as the potassium salts.

Crops:
Winter and Spring Wheat, Barley and Oats, and permanent and rotational Grassland.

Introduction:
Applications of PROMPT may be made to all commercially available varieties of Winter and Spring Wheat, Barley and Oats, established leys and permanent Grassland. Do not use PROMPT on Cereals which have been or are to be undersown.
Annual weeds in Cereals will be best controlled if spraying is done while the majority of weeds are seedlings and the crop is actively growing and at the orrect growth stage. In Grassland, biennial and perennial weeds should be sprayed during their period of maximum growth - usually just before flowering. The response of perennial weeds to treatment is often variable with only the aerial parts killed though suppression will often occur The recovery of weeds will be reduced if the crop is growing vigorously at the time of treatment.
PROMPT is active at low concentrations. Do not spray in windy conditions as the spray drift may cause damage to neighbouring crops. The following crops are particularly susceptible: Beet, Brassicae (e.g. Turnip, Swede, Oilseed Rape) and market garden crops including Lettuce, Tomatoes, Top Fruit and Vines.

Cautions:
DO NOT spray crops which are undersown or are to be undersown.
Clovers or other legumes may be killed or severely checked by PROMPT.
DO NOT apply in periods of drought, frosty weather or if frosts are expected.
DO NOT roll or harrow within 7 days before or after application.
AVOID overlapping spray swaths.
DO NOT SPRAY in windy weather and avoid drift onto broad-leaved plants outside the target area.

Water Volumes:
Use 100-500 l/ha of water. A minimum of 200 l/ha is recommended to ensure good coverage of the weeds if the crop is dense or problem weeds are at an advanced stage of growth.

Application Timings:
Spray PROMPT in the Spring from the 5 fully expanded leaf stage but before the first node detectable stage. Under some conditions some temporary prostration of the crop may occur after spraying. The crop will soon recover and grow away normally.
Do not spray PROMPT late in the season (beyond the recommended stage - i.e. before first node detectable, GS30) especially if the crop is under stress (e.g. drought conditions) and particularly when early maturing Winter Wheat varieties are grown.

Mixing and Application:
Make sure the sprayer is set to give an even application at the correct volume.
Fill the tank with half the required amount of clean water and start agitation.
Add the required amount of PROMPT and continue agitation whilst adding the rest of the water.
Agitate the mixture thoroughly before use and during spraying. DO NOT allow diluted product to stand before use - use immediately after dilution.
Apply as a Medium spray (as defined by BCPC) and a spray pressure of 2-3 bar.
Thoroughly wash all spraying equipment after use.
