Cranberry white grubs
Phyllophaga anxia
The term “white grub” is a bit of a generic name that refers to the larvae of many types of beetles in the scarab family. One group of scarabs consists of the common May and June beetles. These are members of the genus Phyllophaga, and
include nearly 30 Wisconsin species. Only one of these is known to attack cranberry, Phyllophaga anxia.
