GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Usage: This product is both a contact and residual insecticide. It can be used preventively at regular intervals or as a knockdown treatment for existing larvae. For best results, spray at egg hatch, ensuring thorough coverage. Apply during cooler parts of the day.

Application Methods:

  1. Mixed with water
  2. Mixed with oil-based bulking agents (e.g., D-C-Tron Cotton Spray Oil or compatible ULV products)

MIXING:

Low and High Volume Applications (Ground Rig or Water Carrier):

  • Add the required quantity to water in the spray tank, ensuring thorough mixing and agitation during application.

Ultra Low Volume (ULV) Application by Aircraft (Oil-based Bulking Agents):

  • Mix with D-C-Tron Cotton Spray Oil or compatible products. Add the mixing partner to the spray tank first, engage agitation, and add the required amount of NovaGuard Alpha-Cypermethrin 100 Insecticide. Do not mix with water to avoid water in the spraying system.

APPLICATION – Grapevines, Pome, and Stone Fruit:

Dilute Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for high water volumes, matched to the crop.
  • Set up to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy.
  • Apply water to cover the crop to the point of runoff, avoiding excessive runoff.
  • Determine water volume from industry guidelines or expert advice.
  • Add the specified product amount for each 100 L of water. Spray to the point of runoff.

Concentrate Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for concentrate spraying.
  • Set up for even coverage using the chosen water volume.
  • Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume for the crop canopy.
  • Calculate the concentrate mixing rate based on the concentration factor.
    • Example: Dilute volume 1000 L/ha, concentrate volume 500 L/ha, concentration factor 2.
    • If the dilute label rate is 50 mL/100 L, then the concentrate rate becomes 2 x 50, i.e., 100 mL/100 L of concentrate spray.
  • Adjust spray volume, product amount, and sprayer setup as the crop grows.
  • For concentrate spraying, follow industry guidelines and best practices.

For concentrate application, use a spray volume of at least 200 liters per hectare.

APPLICATION – Crops other than Grapevines, Pome, and Stone Fruit:

Low and High Volume (Ground Rig or Aircraft - Water Carrier):

  • Apply with water as the carrier, ensuring thorough coverage.
  • Apply with a non-ionic surfactant unless stated otherwise.
  • Apply in cooler parts of the day or night.

Ground Application - Water Carrier (Field Crops):

  • Use 50 - 200 L/ha total volume for most field crops.
  • For sweet corn, tomatoes, and tobacco, use higher volumes.
  • Apply as a fine spray with droplet size 150 - 200 microns unless otherwise recommended.

Aerial Application - Water Carrier:

  • Avoid applying to trellis tomatoes by aircraft.
  • Use at least 20 L/ha total spray volume.
  • For spring/early summer applications to cereals, linola, canola, rice, and other dense crops, apply in a total spray volume of 30 to 35 L/ha.
  • Apply as a spray of 100 - 150 microns VMD.

Ultra Low Volume (ULV) Application by Aircraft:

  • Mix with D-C-Tron Cotton Spray Oil or compatible products.
  • Apply in a minimum total spray volume of 1.5 L/ha with suitable equipment for droplet size of 80 - 100 microns VMD.
  • Apply during cooler parts of the day or at night.
  • Avoid application in calm or very windy conditions.

COMPATIBILITY:

Low and High Volume Applications (Ground Rig or Aircraft - Water Carrier):

  • Compatible with Azodrin, D-C-Tron Cotton Spray Oil, Dithane M-45, dicamba, Kocide, Nudrin 225, Parathion 500EC, Parathion M500, Predator 300, Ridomil, Wuxal, Select, dimethoate, diquat, glyphosate, Tigrex, Jaguar, simazine, Spinnaker, 2,4-D Amine, 2,4-D Ester, 2,4-DB, MCPA, paraquat.
  • Do not mix with wettable powders and water dispersible granules before addition to the spray tank.
  • Can be mixed with Dithane WDG if agitated efficiently and used immediately.

Ultra Low Volume by Aircraft:

  • Only mix with specific ULV formulations of other insecticides (e.g., Azodrin, Predator 300, PBO synergists) following directions on the PBO synergist labels.
