GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
This product functions as both a contact and residual insecticide, suitable for protective treatments at regular intervals or as a knockdown treatment for existing larvae. Optimal results are achieved when applied during egg hatch. Thorough coverage is vital for adequate control, and applications are recommended during cooler parts of the day.
The product can be applied in two ways:
- Mixed with water.
- Mixed with oil-based bulking agents like D-C-Ton Cotton Spray Oil or compatible ULV products.
MIXING:
Low Volume and High Volume applications by ground rig (with water as a carrier):
- Add the required quantity to water in the spray tank.
- Mix thoroughly with continuous agitation.
Ultra Low Volume (ULV) application by aircraft (with oil-based bulking agents):
- Add the oil-based bulking agent to the spray tank first.
- Engage agitation and add the required amount of Alpha Duop.
- DO NOT mix with water to avoid water in the spraying system.
APPLICATION:
Low Volume and High Volume (with water as a carrier):
- Apply by ground or aircraft with water as the carrier.
- Thorough coverage is crucial for adequate control.
- Apply with a non-ionic surfactant, unless otherwise specified on the tank mix partner's label.
- Preferably apply during cooler parts of the day or night.
Ground Application – water carrier:
- For low volume spraying of field crops with ground rigs, use a total volume of 50-200 L/ha.
- For sweet corn, tomatoes, and tobacco, use higher volumes.
- Use drop arms on ground rigs in row crops taller than 300mm.
- Preferably use hollow cone nozzles with a droplet size of 150-200 microns.
Aerial Application – water carrier:
- DO NOT apply to trellis tomatoes by aircraft.
- Use at least 20 L/ha of total spray volume.
- For spring/early summer applications, apply in a total spray volume of 30 to 35L/ha.
- Spray in crosswind if possible, avoid calm conditions, and use a droplet size of 100-150 microns VMD.
Ultra Low Volume (ULV) application by aircraft:
- Apply mixed with D-C-Tron Cotton Spray Oil or compatible products in a minimum total spray volume of 1.5L/ha.
- Apply during cooler parts of the day or at night.
- Avoid application in calm or very windy conditions.
COMPATIBILITY:
Low Volume and High Volume Application (water as a carrier):
- Compatible with various insecticides and chemicals including Azodrin, D-C-Tron Cotton Spray Oil, Dithane M-45, dicamba, Kocide, Nudrin 225, and others.
- DO NOT mix with wettable powders and water-dispersible granules before adding to the spray tank.
- Can be mixed with Dithane WDG if agitated efficiently and used immediately.
Ultra Low Volume (ULV) by aircraft:
- Should only be mixed with specific ULV formulations of other insecticides like Azodrin, Predator 300, and PBO synergists, following the directions on the PBO synergist labels.
